Tough TimesPosted at 7:28 PM on Sep. 15, 2008
Boy, how our economy is slipping. Family’s, like mine, are going through some tough times. I truly believe that our economy is slowly falling into another Great Depression. The price of everything has gone up, while the housing market has gone down. What does this mean for GTS? Well it starts by putting our trust in Christ Jesus. Your family may be one of the millions that are suffering because of our economy. The only thing we can do is out our trust in the Lord. It just so happens that while our economy is falling, we are going through a presidential election. With the way politics are it’s hard to determine who to vote for. All politics are is a game of pointing fingers. It’s become harder and harder to see the truth. 1 Thessalonians 5:15 says, “See that no one renders evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.” It doesn’t matter what one candidate believes, says or does, pointing fingers is the same as rendering evil. I didn’t say that, God did. A few years ago a bracelet came that stated WWJD (What Would Jesus Do?) That bracelet is great, but shouldn’t it state WWJS (What Would Jesus Say?) Jesus spoke many things, and we can find them in His word. Jesus told us how to live. All we have to do is remember what He said. The only problem is that our world that we live in is telling us otherwise. They say that the next president should be decided by which one can dig up as munch dirt on the other. Why can’t they merely say, “I respect my opponent, we just don’t see eye to eye. Here’s my side. If you agree with what I have to say, please vote for me.” If there were a running candidate that said that I can almost bet that he wouldn’t win. I think Americans find enjoyment in watching two candidates bash one another. Romans 13:1-3 states, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resist the authority resist the ordinances of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but of to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise all the same.” So as our economy falls, and our presidential candidates fall with it, it’s time we stand up for what’s right. Not only do we need to be the generation that seeks, but the nation that seeks. In closing I quote a passage from Common Sense by Thomas Pain. “Society is produced by our wants, and government by wickedness; the former promotes our happiness positively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher. Society in every state is a blessing, but government even in its best state is but a necessary evil.” ThanksPosted at 6:49 PM on Aug. 4, 2008
Hey Everyone, Thanks for all the support; you don't know how much it’s helped. GTS is going great! The Lord has really blessed it. I have already spoken to my youth group and will speak to two others. This is really taking off! I thank the Lord everyday for giving me the vision of GTS, not only has it helped you but it reminds me every day to seek Christ for myself. I pray that Christ will take GTS to new heights and that He'll give my vision. Please be in prayer for GTS that through it Christ will work in our youth. I would like to take the time to thank a few people who helped make this possible. First I want to thank my parents for their support, without it GTS would not be where it's at now. So thanks mom and dad for raising me in a Christian home, without it I would not be where I'm at now. I also want to thank the rest of my family for their support as well. I want to thank my best friend Lauren. She has been so supportive in this. A lot of what I've written were her ideas. When I was down she reminded me that Christ was the answer. So thanks you Lauren, you truly are a blessing. I also want to thanks my youth pastor and his wife. You guys showed support and were an amazing encouragement. I also want to thank my youth group and church. Your response to my speaking was such an encouragement. Thanks to all of you who have supported me. It means so much! <>< The Great CommissionPosted at 10:06 PM on Jun. 28, 2008
The Great Commission is in Matthew 28:18-20. It says, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age’ Amen.” In this passage we were commanded to go and make disciples of all the nations. Everyone is called. I was called to launch Generation That Seeks, and part of what GTS wants is for you is to start seeking after His will. Think about this for me: If we are called to do the will of the Father, and we know that nothing happens that isn’t part of God’s plan. Then every minute of every day should be spent seeking after God’s will. Every minute! That’s amazing! I think it’s time we start seeking after God to see what He wants this very minute. Start right know by highlighting the Great Commission in your bible. Then ask God to help you start seeking after Him. I promise that if you seek after Him, He will tell you His plan for you. It may take time. It took me three years before He told me. But as long as you’re seeking after Christ, you’re following God’s ultimate plan for you. Each of you were given special gifts and talents. For instants i play softball and the piano. I really don't consider them talents or gifts but they are. some of you are blessed with great singing voice. Use it to glorify Christ. Some of you have been blessed with the ability to speak in front of people. Use it to glorify Christ. You all have gifts and talents that God has blessed you with, and He meant for them to be used glorifying Him. Seek after Christ and He will show you your gifts and talents, so you can use them to further His kingdom. Please Leave Me A CommentPosted at 11:28 PM on Jun. 25, 2008
I'm in the process of starting something that i hope will one day be big. I need your feed back. I can't do this without your ideas. Help me out and leave me comments. Thanks.

Why A Generation That SeeksPosted at 6:50 PM on Jun. 24, 2008
As I look around, I see the generation that will one day become our future. It scares me to look and see that the only things that our youth care about are their cell phone and MySpace. Why? Why is it that that’s all they care about? Maybe it’s because they have nothing else to care about. Their parents are too busy working to care, and the only people that do care are those they’re chatting online with whom they don’t even know. A Generation that Seeks is ready to change that. Generation that Seeks comes from Psalm 24:4-6: “He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false, He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob.” Here are three reasons why youth today aren’t seeking Christ. 1. They Don’t Know: Countless Christians today are “falling away” from Christ. These “Christians” aren’t raising their children in Christian homes. For this reason our youth, that will one day become our future, don’t know Christ can change their lives.
2. They’re invited to church but afraid of what they’re peers will say: They’ve been told there is a savior but they don’t know what they’re friends will say. They would rather go with everyone else then worry with living for Christ.
3. They’re too busy with their social life: They think that accepting Christ is going to cut into their social life. They’re too busy to worry with their eternal life so they don’t ask questions. If we can change the way they think, we can change our future. A Generation that Seeks will clean their hands and purify their hearts, that our future will look and be that which Christ would want. There are two types of born again Christians: 1. Those who believe in Christ, but their lives don’t reflect Christ likeness; 2. Those who believe in Christ and live a Christ like life. Research shows that 98% of professed born again youth do “believe in Christ” but do shoe Christ like attitudes or actions.¹ Only 2% of Christian youth live for Christ. Only 2%! Where is that going to take Christianity? Only 33% of church going youth will continue going to church after they leave home. 85% of youth that attend public schools and live in Christian homes don’t embrace a biblical world view.² Those that attend Christian school only scored 79% when it came to biblical world view. That’s a difference of only 6%. The reality is that our youth of today aren’t biblically sound.
