Generation That Seeks

Generation That Seeks comes from Psalms 24:4-6, "“He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob.” The only things that our youth care about are cell phones and MySpace. If we can change the way they think we can change our future. GTS will clean their hands and pure their hearts, so our future will be that which God would want.

The Great Commission

Posted at 10:06 PM on Jun. 28, 2008

The Great Commission is in Matthew 28:18-20. It says, And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age’ Amen.”

In this passage we were commanded to go and make disciples of all the nations. Everyone is called. I was called to launch Generation That Seeks, and part of what GTS wants is for you is to start seeking after His will.

Think about this for me: If we are called to do the will of the Father, and we know that nothing happens that isn’t part of God’s plan. Then every minute of every day should be spent seeking after God’s will. Every minute! That’s amazing!

I think it’s time we start seeking after God to see what He wants this very minute. Start right know by highlighting the Great Commission in your bible. Then ask God to help you start seeking after Him. I promise that if you seek after Him, He will tell you His plan for you. It may take time. It took me three years before He told me. But as long as you’re seeking after Christ, you’re following God’s ultimate plan for you.

Each of you were given special gifts and talents. For instants i play softball and the piano. I really don't consider them talents or gifts but they are. some of you are blessed with great singing voice. Use it to glorify Christ. Some of you have been blessed with the ability to speak in front of people. Use it to glorify Christ. You all have gifts and talents that God has blessed you with, and He meant for them to be used glorifying Him. Seek after Christ and He will show you your gifts and talents, so you can use them to further His kingdom.
