Bionicle: Here is a brief history
The Lego Company introduced Bionicle in 2001, eager to create a mythology as rich as Star Wars and the other properties that the company had turned into block sets on a licensing basis. The story found in Feral’s Bionicle game is the same one that launched the toy line that year, although Lego also emphasized personalities for the six Toa: Tahu’s fiery temper, Kopaka’s even-keeled attitude, Gali’s wisdom, Pohatu’s friendly nature, Onua’s mysterious aloofness and Lewa’s sense of humor and fierce loyalty.
While four of the heroes in the game feature Toa Nuva abilities, all six of them have been upgraded to that status in Lego’s toy line. Since 2001, the Bionicle story has been continued in comic books, movies, trading cards and other media, in addition to the materials that come with the toys.
Makuta can be defeated but always returns to fight another day, of course, and the fate of the Bohroks’ imprisoned queens remains a “gun on the mantelpiece,” figuratively speaking, that will likely become a problem for our heroes somewhere down the line.
