"SATURDAY'S TOP 8"
1. ran local errands yesterday: post office and bank.
2. wrapped up a week of working for my mom (she was on a Carribean cruise)...went into her office and organized the weeks business....funny how life is...I spent my entire life in that same office working along side my dad and now, I am taking my child in and giving him the same jobs my dad gave me....it's a bittersweet feeling. And, I wish I was as nice as my dad.
3. helped Tommie make 10 homemade Valentines...I signed him up at Five in a Row, for a nation-wide Valentine exchange...it's always fun to take part in their exchanges...receiving things in the mail and good opportunity for a nation-wide geography lesson.
4. Baked two cookie sheets of chicken...I'll be doing my once-a-month cooking--freezer meals, on Sunday...love having those on hand!

5. Made a good lasagne for dinner!
6. Played John Deere Monopoly and I, as usual lost.
7. Read-aloud, "You're on Your Way, Teddy Roosevelt," by Judith St. George. This was a very good picture/chapter book...a quick read with a good messege. I liked the fact, that Tommie cuddled up next to me and snuggled in....those days are rare. The illustrator, Matt Fulkner, who lives right here, close by in Michigan, did an outstanding job.. I really recommend this book! I found it at the main library.
8. Started reading "The Runes of Isle Royal," a Great Lakes Adventure in History & Mystery, by Janie Lynn Panagopoulos. I plan to read this aloud to Tommie and the dog, but just couldn't wait! It IS very good.... Thanks Holly, for loaning it to me!
