Sep. 30, 2009 - Renaissace Faire costume..and other stuff.
i know its been ages since i wrote anything. so, i was thinking of putting pictures. :) i'm not much of a sewer, but i attempted to make myself a costume to wear to this october's renaissance faire that i'm playing my violin/fiddle for. i was thinking that a gypsy outfit would do, so a really good freind of mom's blessed me with the finances to buy all that i needed to make it. it came out better than i expected...considering i was the one who made it. hopefully it doesn't fall to pieces while i'm wearing it, that would be bad. :/ anyway, here is the dress.....
so, there ya have it. :D i'mma add a few bracelets and earings, and viola! i'll be all set. i've never played or even been to a renaissance faire before, so it will be a learning expericance. should be lots of fun, that's for sure. i'm really looking forward to it. it's going to be on the 24th of october. so i have been practicing my violin nearly everyday. and if i'm not practicing, i'm normally playing with the groups in the surrounding area. my fovorite place to play is at the autcion that is held every friday night just up the road. it's lots of fun i enjoy playing with other musicians every chance i get.
all this violin playing has also been helping me get all practiced up for a cd that i'm going to be recording this november when i go down to louisiana for thanksgiving. which i'm also very excited about. but i'll write more about that later.

Mar. 26, 2009 - new camera! / picture post!
hey ya'll,
we got an awesome new camera that takes WONDERFUL, and i'm talking really GREAT pictures. so i thought i'd post a few that i took yesterday.
you know me, i always have to take some flowers. lol! this is on regular far out zoom.
this one, i'm far away, and have the zoom really close in. same wonderful quality. *hugs camera*
how cute is she?!? .... must run in the family. =P jk!
then i got in the picture and Heather was gracious enough to take us being goofy. (i'm not really that ticklish, but she was having a blast thinking that i was) *wink*
ok, ok, so i'm a big kid. =P

Ah, now here i am acting all proper and lady-like again as if i wasn't just rolling around in the grass. ^_^
One thing for sure, this camera takes AWESOME motion pictures.
As you can tell, she was having as much fun as I was....
I "used" to be able to do that... :P
This one's a keeper.

Sadness came down

Hey Ya'll...
One of my best friends, Anna came sleep over Sunday night. 
We played fiddles nearly the whole time....sore fingers for sure! lol
But then Monday, Anna let me borrow her hoop skirt and I tried it on under a skirt that I made..
We all went out to the hay bales for a "authentic" look....
Anna is such a great friend...kind of crazy..but I guess that is why we get along so well...I had such a great time with her...we played practically EVERY song that we knew...From Jingle Bells to Canon...^_^

Nov. 13, 2008 - Congratulations!, Giveaway, and amazing little girl...
I'd like to send out a special congrats to Mrs. Belinda...(luvs2bemom)... on their new arrival, Harmony Michelle Masterson Morris. Harmony weighed in at 8 lbs. 11 ozs and was 19 1/4 inches long and she was born with a head of black curly hair and I can't wait to see her next time we go to church!

So, the time has come! It is now fall! The leaves are changing to beautiful colors of gold, red, yellow....and brown. There is a slight chill in the air that just screams for you to build a fire and make Smores. ^_^ But the best part about it is...It's Gumbo Weather!!! Yes!
How delish does THAT look?!?! AUUGHH!
My sister Sandy and her three kids, Lil.Mitchel, Heather and Hannah are coming up from La tomorrow! So we are looking forward to spending time with them! ^_^

Ok, so I have turned into a really, really bad blogger. When I get online, I mostly just talk to my friends...(which is so fun) But I have vowed to start posting more regularly. ^_^
