I have been drooling over the Proclick binding tools for quite some time , and I finally ordered one a few weeks ago. Actually, I had the great idea to put all of my kids astronomy mini-books into a "notebook" made of black cardstock pages so it had that "outer space" look. The problem was that no one sells notebooks/scrapbooks with black pages around here. But I found some packs of black cardstock at Walmart and I had planned on taking it to Kinkos to get it bound...planned that for about a month. But I never got all the way across town to Kinkos. So I bit the bullet and ordered the Proclick binder. I whipped that puppy out of the box as soon as I got it and started punching holes like a madwoman and in no time, I had 3 notebooks with black cardstock pages...with the poly (?) covers. They are beautiful. I think this is the beginning of a long beautiful relationship. All I have to say is...Thank you Debra and Betsy for introducing me to the Proclick. Kinkos...wish I could say I'll miss you, but I'll probably be too busy playing with my Proclick to notice.
Hi there, I followed your link from the notebooking group. I have a proclick and love it! Now....do tell your ideas with the black cardstock. Have you mentioned that idea already and I need to go way back in your archives?? I hope to be inspired *U*
I wanted the kids Astronomy books to have a "space" look to them. So I made the pages black. Then I printed out all the mini-books on white paper (Found them at the Notebooking2Learn yahoo group...really nice). Then if they want to write on the black pages, I have some "Milky" gel pens that show up on darker colored pages. They just have to be careful not to make any mistakes...or live with the ones they do make. :-)
Hope that helps you "visualize" it. :-) Maybe I'll post some pictures when we get into it a bit further. We had to temporarily "halt" science for a bit, but hope to be back at it in a week or so.
Welcome to my blog...Why "gidget"? Well...my husband tried to teach me how to surf before we were married. I was lousy at it, but he called me his "gidget" and the name stuck.
Why "Treasure Trove"? I love sharing about my sweet little "treasures"...and God has blessed me beyond measure....and no, I didn't mean that to rhyme.
