Simplicity!
I am looking for simplicity .Shabbat is tomorrow. And while I have done my best to keep shabbat a rest day,I have found it difficult. With 4 young children,I find myself cleaning up and behind them more on shabbat then any other day..That is not good, when I should be honoring the day of rest as a day of rest.So here it is,I am going back to leaving the cleaning for thursday and going to do my best to relax on friday,The meals will be simple hot dog or burger meals or even some chicken tender meals.something not much effort needs to be done, but we can still enjoy..Also potatoe salad days are making a come back in this house,lolol..it will be potatoe salad and green salads for friday nights and saturday nights. That way we can rest and enjoy our family time together. My mom will be by tomorrow, her husband has a body building competition on sunday that he has been preparing for and my mom wants to spend time with the kids,so they will be by at noon tomorrow.I am looking forward to the early visit since the house is clean right now,and I have been cleaning all week..I have
dusted
vaccumed
done daily dishes
cleaned kids bathroom
cleaned out summer/ pulled out fall clothes
begun the DR uncluttering, and gotten far with it
begun packing for moving purposes
cleaned kitchen
and have washed all the quilts and enough clothes for the week.
I have also been able to stick with my menu plan, and have been able to get what I wanted done for school.I had to put a holt on the hayesod study because I need the next video. But I am looking forward to getting that within the next 2 weeks. We have also made some kooky dough (playdough),that we got the receipe from a fellow blogger, and my kids loved it.We are going to share the receipe with our homeschool group..So thank you! I will post up her info as soon as I check out her blog info from my favorites.Sorry for the wait. If you want the receipe just email me.Anyway I hope everyones weekend goes well..We have a busy one ourselves..So blessings, and pray for us because we will begin our frist lapbook this week..It will be on water cycles..Blessings again and Shalom.

Thanks for your comment. Our circle of fellowship is very spread out. Most of the pics were from North Carolina where we travel during the feasts to be with our old friends from the congregation that existed when we used to live in NC. The ones from Stone Mountain are with our current synagogue in Atlanta. I hear what you're saying about Shabbat. It took me a few years and even now is sometimes still a challenge to not pick up or clean anything for 24 hours. I typically do something in the crockpot to have for Saturday lunch and leftovers from Erev Shabbat for Saturday night dinner (in the summertime when sundown is so late). You will LOVE HaYesod. We are big FFOZers. We're currently doing the new Torah Club 1 but have done Volumes 4, 5 and 2 in years past. We pray you'll have a blessed and restful Shabbat.
