Tired

Well as you may see my title here is tired! And that I am.We have already begun our homeschool year and I am already lacking sleep, healthier eating habits and trying to keep the brainfog away..So like I said I am tired..This year my youngest daughter is beginning her preschool going into kindergarten work. She has been doing fabulous. She loves the idea of being at the table with her siblings and doing work.I have found her completing assignments with less fuss then the older siblings..So that is great..I am however still brainfogged over how to go about getting more  outdoor activities put into our days before the summer is just completely gone. But I am struggling because by the time we get language arts, some math and just some art and on hands activities done it is so late already.Oh I forgot to mention why it is sooo late..My husband is on 2nd shift. So our schedule is revolving around his this year.We are trying to make it a point to spend more time together so homeschool starts when he is off to work..He has participated in a couple of activities so far which have been a great help. But I would like to get the kids more outdoor events going.I was thinking of seeing if some of the moms from my homeschool group may want to get together for a field trip once a week that is more towards the playgrounds and local parks or even the pool.I will have to see what everyone thinks by the time we have our not back to school picnic..But any suggestions are appreciated. We are just getting into full swing of me having to cook earlier so that we have food and I don't have to go back and forth in between the leeson to make sure nothing is burning. So Guess what I have decided,Back to bulk freezer cooking.Thats right I am freezing the next 2 weeks meals and will not have to worry about them at all,I am also going to wash all our laundry this friday ,so I don't have to worry about washing sheets on the weekend.I am also having a home economics day with the kids tomorrow of just getting rid of the old and making space for the new.So all that is going on this week.Which contributes to my sleepiness, which Hashem willing, will be gone by next week, cause I am going to get this done the next 2 days.I am glad though that much of my lesson planning and goals are in the works, kids have there books, and have been working on assignments,as well as loving the more active rolls. We are going to focus on getting more research done, and having more fun with our work, then anything..So pray for a good year for us..Blessings and thanks for hearing my ramblings...

Homebased Business

Well it is up and running. We have our very own homebased business now.

We are excited and happy to be blessed with this.My children are a part of our business as well. They handle the advertising department.(i.e. putting stamps on envelopes, labels, and packaging.).They also help by distributing out door hangers and flyers. It is exciting for them because they get paid a nickle for every flyer /door hanger/ label they put on or deliver..So my second oldest ds who loves to get paid for anything is having a ball.If anyone is interested in checking out our website or information on what our business is they can  email me at GracefulScents@aol.com for any info or questions .It is a really great company and has tons of potential for further growth. So we are excited. My husband has been very supportive with this..and I am so happy to have his support. He usually has a hard time with figuring how new things are going to fit into our already very busy home enviornment. But hey the way I feel is ,You will never know unless you try.So he is very willing,to try.I pray this be the business that can be passed on to my children in the future, either as a part time or full time job.or something they can offer there wives/husbands as well to take over..I am a Homeschooling mom ,and with seeing how hard my husband works and how much he is just not happy with his work environment.I am determined to not allow my children to fall into i have to get a job and work for someone who I really dont agree with as a person.I just don't want that for my sons or daughters.I want them to be there very own bosses and or work for someone who they choose, and are not stuck for working because no one else pays better.I want happy workers,I want family workers..So this business can open the doors for that.If anyone in the PA area knows any conferences or art shows,or fairs coming up and can give me that info I would be very appreciative..If you have a shop or store front and would like to know more about our products ,let me know as well, comment or email me.We have been getting all of our ideas and other items together as well .If you have any business suggestions or ideas let us know.We have also been getting the welcoming home party for baby Jaiden ready it is on 10-8-06 and has just been getting closer and closer. So far we have a total of 110 family members coming down for this event,Yes I have a huge family. That is just my immediate family, not including some of the moms family as well.So it is going to be big.Isn't it funny how when something of this amount comes along there just seems to never be any time to do anything, lolol .But oh well,Strength and energy Hashem is all I can ask for.So how is everyone elses week going??

Well blessings and Shalom in Y'shua.Off to make up lesson plans for the week..

Rosh Hashanah

We are having tons of fun reading our Hearts of Wisdom Unit study info.We

are getting ready for Rosh Hashanah, and it has been a blessing.Abba has been filling my heart with joy and excitement for this New Year,I almost can't wait for that Shofar to sound 100 times. My children completed there paper Shofars ,however it has lead them to each want an actual shofar now.So I am praying that as soon as we get this home business up and running ,I hope to get all 4 of children there very own shofar. Can you hear the souls trembling already from the sound of that trumpet, lololol.I am excited for the sweet New Year to come. That is what I see this year to be, a sweet one, dispite any trials or test,It will be sweet to make it to next year..We were studying the importance of the shofar in the Torah and found some wonderful verses explaining the holiness of that trumpet,it was wonderful. We watched the movie of Joshua and Jerico. We danced to horah. We listened to Messianic songs while dancing new Davidic dances they learned over Shabbat. And of course we are getting ready to make some Rosh Hashanah cards this week,So  if   you would like to receive one simply comment or email me,I will be happy to send one to anyone looking forward to receiving one.It is a time of joy and renewal. So all are welcome to share with us.I don't know if it is just us but we are having fun.My oldest son can't wait to get to shul  for it.(We have had to have shabbat service at home this month due to car trouble, our temple is found in Maryland,we live in PA.)My children love shabbat. So it has not been the same for them to not be at temple.I am content just partaking in Shabbat itself. But they miss our Rabbi and there friends. So we will be going this Shabbat to shul.So they as you can read are excited too..I hope everyones preparations for Rosh Hashanah are going well also.If you need some color pages to keep the little ones busy there are some good ones at www.ahklah.com they have some great activities as well for other holidays and shabbat. They are free as well.So that is a plus..There are also some great kosher recipes at www.aish.com if you go to that specific festival or topic ,it will show you all the info. Well Blessings to all.Shavoua Tov.!!

Questions About Sabbath

Well as you can see my new post is on Sabbath. As many have read on my profile I am Messianic Believer, who loves her  Messiah.Well I have been asked frequently why do I celebrate Sabbath on Saturday?Mainly because Christianity has there Sabbath day on Sunday.Well there are 2 ways I can go about explaining this, there is the common sense way, which is short and sweet and the historical, which is more technical,to those who aren't fascinated by history in whole. So first things first,Lets use common sense for the person who follows and is a Bible Study person.

Genesis 2;3 says,''G-d blessed the seventh day,and sanctified it...Now I don't know if it is just me but Abba sanctifying a day of rest is enough for me to know it is his.Now here is the common sense part here.''G-d blessed seventh day......Now there it is seventh. Now if the father gave us the Jewish Calendar as the calendar of his choice then would it not make sense that ,that calendar may be for a reason. But lets say we don't use that Calendar for whatever reason,Let's use the often used gregorian calendar if we must.We are taught in Kindergarten That the beginning of the week is Sunday not Monday, ask any 5 year old what the first day of the is and you will get the same answer. However we (man) have over time gone from the all the time used calendar to the business week calendar. But thats another subject.Back to what we were talking about. If Sunday is the first day of the week, would not the seventh day be Saturday.Well now again I don't know if it is me but that would still make the Sabbath day Saturday not  Sunday. Now I am not at all placing judgement on those who are not of Messianic faith  ,I am simply answering a question that seems to need an answer, since not everyone knows much on judaism studies,or messianic studies as well. Now is not the keeping of the Sabbath a commandment. So it does not say take a ''Sabbath day an make it holy'',It says -'' keep the Sabbath day holy''.Sabbath is the seventh day and a holy day.Our reason for opening or beginning Sabbath on Friday night, is because as a Torah Observant follower,we follow the Jewish Calender,Which runs from sunset to sunset. Now for those of you looking for the Historical changing of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday ,you will need to read up  in 132 a.d. when Bar-Kokhba led a revolt against the Romans,And when he was done 50% of the population of Judea was dead and tens of thousands of men and women who remained alive were sold into slavery. Now thats is where it began to change because it became unsafe to asossiate yourself as a jew, they were also forbidden from setting foot into Jerusalem and the province which was renamed Palestine.During this period the dominate day of worship among christians gradually changed from Sabbath to Sunday. It mainly came to part due to once again  a need to disassosiate the christian movement with the Jewish nation. You can also look up the years during which the ruler Constantine was in ruling, in the wikipedia encyclopedia online, tons of information is there on figures in history that played roles in religion.I advise whoever is interested that they make a study on this both with your bible at hand and historical information available to you.Sabbath is a time of rest that we all in the physical sense need as well as in the spiritual sense. If we did not need it then why would the almighty see it fit to give it to us.(The following is found in The Hearts of Wisdom Family guide to Biblical Holidays)The Sabbath reminds us that G-d created the world,Sabbath reminds us that G-d delivered Israel from bondage,Sabbath reminds us that Meshiach delivered us from the penalty of sin,Sabbath reminds us that G-d will make us holy, just as he made Shabbat holy,Sabbath reminds us that G-d will finish His work in our lives, just as he finished His works of creation and redemption,Sabbath reminds us that G-d is our L-rd and G-d,Sabbath reminds us that we have rest in Meshiach.(This is how I feel)We need Sabbath,Sabbath does not need us. And believe me when I say I need my Shabbat after  all this  to be with my family, and I need to teach my children the biblical importance of why Shabbat is holy and why we should be thankful to have Shabbat.Matt 12;8 says ''for the son of man is Lord of the Sabbath day''.So blessings and Shalom to all.

P.S. this again is not in judgement if not to simply give understanding of what I believe. So do not feel dicourage if not seek out what Abba wants you to see and come to know.Pray for understanding and wisdom in all he shows you.Look forward to our Rosh Hashanah pics ,studies and projects next week.Again Blessings to all!!!!

STARTING HOMEBASED BUSINESS

I am thinking of starting a homebased business.I have been

checking out info on such businesses, and have found some really great info.I have already chosen the business thats fits me ,and received the info and other info needed to begin. So I am ready.I have a really great mom who supports everything I do,and is very supportive of all this as well.I am really excited. My children are also looking forward to it,because we have decided to make this a family business, not just moms thing. So it is really great because it is not something that we have to leave the house for and it works and fits around our time..I have other relatives who have succeeded in this business, and I can't wait to begin.Has anyone else had or are starting there own business as well?Do you have any advice for me?If anyone is interested in starting there own business or would like to know about our business let me know, comment me or email me.

Homelife

Well as you know my nephew is doing well, but we had

even greater news today as we were able to hold him today . We also found out that he gained an extra 2 oz today bringing his weight to 2 lbs 7 oz. So the Father has his blessed hands on this baby. And we are very greatful to him for it.  Today was a full day. We have my sister in law visiting from out of state for a week with us. As well as family coming down tomorrow to visit. And in the mist of all that we still have 2 projects to get done,as well as a read aloud of an autobiography of Ben Franklin to read. Not including daily chores, which me and my husband just recently decided to change up a bit, on  a test trial. Pray for us. We really want to change up our routine this year to better accomdate my husbands schedule with the other activities. The rest of our week is full of lesson plans ,housework and outdoors activities, so Abba permitting it will get done. We are right now doing animal studies and are having a good time with that aside from our biblical studies. Which have been great. If anyone is looking for some good old testament worksheet printouts this link has really great printable small booklets  http://www.heartofwisdom.com/artman/publish/article_203.shtml.

We have used these many times and even my younger kids love the color sheets. My older kids love the maze and true or false questions, because we made it a game. So I hope you enjoy them as well.I will try to post more sites up soon.In a nut shell that is our current homelife. Blessings and Shalom  to all..
