• Jan. 3, 2007 - Time for a long overdue update!

It has been a very busy Christmas break here!  We schooled till the 19th of December and just went back to school yesterday.  What a whirlwind it has been.

Luan bought tickets for The Holy Land Experience in Orlando.  It is a Biblical theme park based on Jerusalem.  They have a replica temple, a replica Tabernacle, shows etc.  It was a really fun time.  In addition to all the historical stuff, there was a small rock climbing wall.  Everyone but me tried it.

Alexander didn't get very far.  He was too short to move between the pegs.  He only gave it one shot, even though you were allowed three trys.

Hannah made it a little farther up the wall.  She gripped and grabbed and hung on with all of her might.  But she still was too short to reach climb between the steps.  Hannah was very sore later because she was so determined to stay up and keep climbing.  Hmm....is that determined or stubborn?

So A. Luan suited up to give it a try.  Did he make it?  Nope!  He made it half way up before he decided he just couldn't hack it anymore.  Just to give some perspective - - a girl about 10 climbed all the way to the top and rang the bell.  No one else could match her feat!
