Day (Summer) is Done.....Gone the Sun.....

Okay, WOW have I been neglecting my blog. This is bad...and I even re-did my template! So i decided that, in honor of the new look, I would do the good and surprising thing and....TADA!! UPDATE MY BLOG!!!

So how do you like it? I know, I know....my old template that Arwen made me was prettier....and I really did love that one! (Thanks, Arwen!). But, I was inspired to use the Little House On The Prairie theme when I saw a picture by Renee Graff (the illustrater of these little kid Little House books, I think....), and I REALLY wanted to use it! So, thus became my template. And that sentence doesn't sound right---but isn't that a never-ending problem? =)

Soooo.......school. Yup, we're back on schedule. And I'm a high-school gal this year. Yahoo. And of course, the only thing different is that I have WAY more school---which I don't mind...that much.  But ALSO, Cross Country Running has started...three weeks ago, I think. My sister and I are doing that...it's fun! our second meet is on Monday...please pray that we will all do our best! This meet does no sound like it's going to be fun...one word: HILLS. Doesn't that just make you think the very best about this race? Ugg....but it'll still be fun. I hope.

Anyways...I can't believe Summer is already gone. But thankfully, the sun has not decided to go away yet here; it is around 88 degrees! Yay.....I love the heat MUCH better than cold, gloomy days. Which makes me wonder why I'm inside on the computer blogging when I could be outside enjoying a sunny saturday morning. I'll never figure myself out. One of these days I'm going to wake up to find myself missing, and then I'll never find myself again. Which TOTALLY did not make sense...I'm sorry. I'm in a terribly random and brisk mood today (do random and brisk moods go together?), so don't be alarmed if I say something totally off-focus and out-of-the-ordinary, which doesn't make sense in the LEAST.

"HELP ME, LORD CHANCELLOR!"

*Enters and throws flowers everywhere to create a summery atmosphere, but fails miserably as she looks out the window an' sees clouds accross the sky*

Have you ever noticed that before the Summer months occur, there are always a FEW eighty-ninety degree days when you WANT to get out the pool, and there's nothing stopping you, so you do it, but just as soon as you're done filling it it's time for bed, and you go to bed full of excitement and anticipation of another warm day when you can jump in the pool after school (hehe, a RHYME!!).......and it rains.

Yep, you guessed it. These past days have been GLORIOUS. The sun shining, the weather as warm as midsummer, and the garden needing to be watered at LEAST twenty-50 times a day. Bugs were out (especially my absolute FAVORITES...miskeeters), the grass was lush, and picnics were underway. Life was a big party. And THEN. The clouds rolled across the sky, casting dread into the hearts of every hopeful swimmer in the county. Bathers were just spreading out their towels, ready to hit the surf, and WHAM! The first raindrop fell. *Sobs over her lost swim, and gazes mournfully out the window as the rain drops go PLINK! PLINK! on the pool cover* But all hasn't been that bad. Mother's Day was a glorious day; it was sunny and not too warm, but passable. We all packed up and headed off to the city to enjoy a nice, relaxing dinner at a family favorite restaurant, The Mongolian Grill. Alas, upon arriving at our destination we were met with the sad news that indeed, our agreed eating place was out of business. Luckily, there was a nice man who pointed us on our way to a NEW and IMPROVED "Mongolian Grill," just 15 minutes away. The smiles again returned, and once again were we on our way. Once at the NEW and IMPROVED "Yummy Mongolian Grill, " (note the change in title) we settled down at a nice, sticky table in a lovely, smoky room where we were served DELICIOUS, overdone morsels and even got some slushy, melty, TASTY icecream, dripping over the dishes. *sigh of "pleasure" * MY wasn't it a delightful evening for our coveted Mither who spent the rest of the evening in bed with a stomache ache from all that NEW and IMPROVED food.

But, it was alright, and we made the best of it *glares at the nice man who pointed us to the NEW and IMPROVED "Yummy Mongolian Grill" *

So, that was our Mother's Day.

Recently, I have been caught up in school, frantically trying to finish Pre-Algebra (yes, I'm still in it and don't you laugh at this poor 8th grader who got stuck with a horrible math program). And guess what!!?? I ONLY HAVE 8 MORE LESSONS LEFT!! Yahoooooooee! *coughs pleasently as she looks at all the tests she hasn't finished* Hey! Oiy've bin BUSY, ye snickerng SCALLYWAGS!!! Oiy ought ta throw the whole lot of ye overboard!! *growls in a piratey way, then hands them all ovah to Taylor la Pirate for her to deal w' them...* Hmm....just MAYBE oiy wilt spare the lot of ye....providin' ye all give me a treasure. Wot is the treasyre ye all shouldst be a givin' me? A COMMENT TREEESURE, THOT'S WOT! *does a pirate jig around the poop deck* An' while yar all lined up ta give me moiy treeasure, DO make it a large one, aye? Gute. *wonders if she sounds like a mean German Pirate and thinks not*

Hmm...tis time fer me to cast off. LOWER THE ANCHORE, MATEYS!!! OIY SAID.......LOWER THE ANCHORE!!!! *hops off onto shore and skips away dreaming of summer breezes and swimming in the Carribbean*

Lawf Ye all!

~Ariel (forgive me fer not using the beauoooteeful signeeture Arwen so lovingly made....oiy'm LAZEE, olroiyt??!! Gee wilikers.....SOME PEOPLE!!!)

It's a TAG! A wonderful, scrumptious, glorious TAG!!!!! HOOORAY!! *dances around in her pjamas (don't ask me why I'm wearing pjamas or why I can't spell pjamas)*

YODEELAYHOOO!!!!!! *feebly attempts to yodel like they do on "The Sound of Music" but fails miserably*

I have made a tag, everyone! And just a quick question...who out thar pronounces "tag" "T-E-G" like peg???!! Oh man it SO bothers me when people do that.....just warning you!! *laughs* No, not really. I'm fine with it, it's just that...oh okay, NOW I'm rambling. Nothing wrong with that though, is there? I mean, C'mon! That's what blos are for! To ramble on and on and on and on...*pictures herself standing on a platform boring her audience to death by "on and ons" and decides to stop*. Anyways, on with the TAG!! (Note: T-A-G is pronounced T-A-G, not T-E-G, peoples!! Wanna know why, well.....) =)

The Interviewer Tag

Are ya a country gal or perhaps a city slicker? Hmmm...Weel *note countryish slang, haha*, we don't live in the city, but we dontlive on a farm either. But we DO live somewhat out a ways, but not so far that we can't see any houses. We have two neighbors who are about a field away. Satisfied?

Can you yodel the goats of of the alps? As you can tell from the above paragraph, NO, I cannot. *sobs*

Are you a stylish tall, exquisite medium, or perfect petite? Well, umm...I am only 5'3" and I'm 13...so, I'd probably call myself Wonderfully In Between....*smiles*

What is your Father's occupation? He's a writer, part-time pastor, and part of a program that disciples young men into leaders, called Discipleship Network of America (DNA)

How 'bout Mommy? She's a stay-at-home homeschool mom! =)

Have you ever swam in a creek that's -13 degrees? Yeppers! Certainly have! And BOY was that cold! ...And why else would I have asked that question?? *laughs*

Are you totally WILD about anything Narnia?? No, actually, I'm not. I mean, I love Narnia and C.S. Lewis and everything, but I'm not absolutley CRAZY about it and the movies or anything. They're totally cool and really interesting!! =) And I love the movies, and the kids are so cute and everything, but no, I'm not WILD about it....

Have you ever blown a bubble out of bubble-gum until it burst all over your face and you got it all over your hair and had to put peanut butter in it? Well....not exactly. But my lil' brother did, and BOY was that a MESS!!! And he had to put this gross old peanut butter in it that didn't come out for weeks and....*sighs* here I go, rambling again!!

Would you reccomend naming this question anything other than "The Last Question?" Well, as a matter of fact...*refrains herself for fear of offending the maker of the tag...NOTE: T-AG, not T-E-G...and here we go again.*

THE END!!!!

Okay, I tag:

Syd

Taylor

..and my new friend, nikbi

Thanks for visiting my blog today! Love you all!

God bless,
