Feb. 11, 2009 - God Speaks to the Speers Family
This has never been talked about with anyone, except my husband & God
.. For sometime know both my husband and I have felt God place upon our hearts that we are to adopt a baby???? We also believe that this baby is in China???? At this point we wonder how we would have the funds to do this ( the average cost to adopt from China is $24,000..YIKES
) But God has spoke again and has told us if we
just start making the first steps that He will provide the rest. I write this blog in attempt to get imput from anyone who has adpoted from another country.. And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. ISAIAH 30:21

You too have a beautiful family! Thank you for your kind words on my blog---not sure when you left them, I'm just now getting to them. I love the lapbook you did---Good Job! Looks like you're doing an awesome job schooling your sweethearts.
Isn't it amazing when The Lord speaks something to us that seems extraordinarly impossible!? Yet we obey and he takes over. Hallelujah for you and your husband's obidience. I have recently been told Steven Curtis Chapman has an organization to help christian families that feel led to adopt--something to look into and pray about. You have my prayers for discerment and guidance =) Blessings!!!

How awesome! God has really spoken to our family about adopting as well. We are not sure exactly when. If it was up to me we would be doing it right now. However, God's timing is not always our timing. The plan is to wait until this year is over and then start the process. We hope to adopt from Africa. Not sure which country. We also want to adopt a sibling group.
