Jan. 23, 2009 - Lapbooking

Well Because I am a rookie at the whole homeschooling thing, and have no friends or family members that do it, I have been on my own on learning what steps to take first.  I have really enjoyed reading other peoples blogs and am learning a lot.

I have noticed in the last while the same word keep coming up on homeschooling websites and in others blogs.. LAPBOOKING... I had never heard this term before and needed to understand what it was and why all the hype.. Well because the internet is such a wonderful place it did not take me long to find a ton of stuff on Lapbooking..sooooooooooooooooooooo  I am embracing this new thing ( well new to me anyway) and doing a Lapbook with Chloe.  I really think she will love it and learn a lot.. So the first lap book we are going to do is a book report style one on  GOODNIGHT MOON.. Wish me luck on my new adventure in homeschooling land.

Jan. 22, 2009 - Pen Pal WANTED

I have a 4 year old daughter Chloe & I really think it would be neat for her to have a Pen Pal. So I am posting a wanted Blog.. WANTED PEN PAL, LOOKING FOR ANOTHER 4 OR 5 YEAR OLD GIRL TO START THIS VERY NEAT ADVENTURE.. We live in Ontario Canada, but Pen Pal can live anywhere...Look forward to seeing what Bites we get on our WANTED blog..

Jan. 21, 2009 - Winter Fun

In Western Ontario, Canada the winters can be pretty chilly & feel very long. So we face the challenge of not only teaching everyday stuff, but to teach our children to love all seasons and to embrace each one in its own special way.  We live in a beautiful part of the country and I don't want our family to miss a thing.

We Love getting Chloe out in all her gear, and zooming around on our snow mobile. She will try anything even at 4 years old she doesn't mind being pulled behind the sled on a flying saucer..Lots of fun..

We still have 2 months of winter to go, so lots more fun things to do around our house.

Jan. 21, 2009 - Just another day of Learning

Chloe and I have lots of fun when we get in the Kitchen. Before I was a full time Mom I worked out of the home as a Chef, so as you can imagine when we get in the kitchen we have lots of fun.

Chloe is 4 so we can do  a lot, but little Jorja is only 18 months, but she still gets involved in her own way

Cooking is a great way to learn about portioning out ingredents and it is just good fun

Jan. 21, 2009 - Reaching out into a world that is very New

This is a new step for me in the world of homeschooling.. Looking forward to reading about what other families are working on and embracing the internet world.  Never have blogged before.. Yes a little freaked out with getting to know what to do first.. Wish me Luck ..
