Thirteen Things about Dana One of my favorite things about Europe is that your dog is welcome just about anywhere.  You will frequently see a pampered pooch curled up at master's feet while she sips coffee at a cafe or strolling along with the family down the pedestrian zones. Here, it's just fetch in the backyard.  And an occasional trip to PetCo.  Still, now that we own a dog that is mostly lab, there are several activities you cannot do with them. The instinct to retrieve is just too strong... 1…. Fishing...every cast lands a big dog. 2. Golf. 3. Hopscotch. 4. Baseball. 5. Frisbee, if you want your human friends to get a chance. 6. Skipping stones. 7. Ring Toss. 8. Horseshoes. 9. Croquet. 10. Lawn darts. 11. Shuffleboard. 12. Lawn bowling. 13. Bosseln...ok, that's an East Frisian/Irish thing.  It basically involves rolling a ball on the road and seeing whose goes farthest. Links to other Thursday Thirteens! This is very true, they just want to play all the time and for some strange reason they wouldn't stop for a minute and believe that you want to play without them sometimes. lol http://apennyforthem.blogspot.com/
