Evangelizing our Leaders
1Ti 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 1Ti 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Imagine what this country could be if we were to truly return to our Christian roots, with godly men leading by conviction. If, rather than merely protecting our rights as Christians, we were actually able to evangelize those in positions of authority and bring them to a saving knowledge of Christ.
In the Old Testament, God commands kings to know the law of the Lord. Should it not also be in our nation?
Starting with its first ministry in California in 1997, Capitol Ministries has grown to include thirteen states with plans to eventually reach every state. Capitol Ministries is a much needed ministry to our leaders in the capitol cities of our nation. From their website:
"Today, many Christian organizations are attempting to influence the world through political, rather than biblical methods. Evangelism and discipleship best define Capitol Ministries. We desire to present every legislator complete in Christ through the systematic teaching of God's Word. This is the biblical formula for spiritual growth."
Take a moment to look at their website, pray for their mission and pray for your leaders.
