Why is Education So Important

Posted in education
The state of education seems insane, recently.  In our schools, teachers use guided imagery to "open doors of creativity" in students.  If you are not familiar with this, it is touted as a means to relaxation, but is a central component to many Eastern religions.  It involves clearing the mind and allowing a facillitator to evoke images in your mind.  Some guided imagery "trips" I have read about in public schools involve trips to other planets where you meet your spirit guide who you then invite to share your body and bring him back with you to do your creative writing assignments.

We no longer educate our youth about sex.  We stimulate them.  We laugh at abstinence, instead repeating the mantra of safe sex.  The school day even has time to tackle subjects such as homosexuality and abortion.

Education is about training the mind and the character.  As young minds take shape, so does our future.  What does our future look like?  Pretty grim.

In 1919, Aleister Crowley, dubbed "the wickedest man in the world" by the contemporary press, wrote,

Let me seduce the boys of England and the oldsters may totter unconverted to their graves.  Then these boys, become men, may bring about the new Heaven and the new Earth...but without an army I am useless...give me my army, young men; and we will sweep these dogs into the sea."
--The World's Tragedy, p. XXV

Mr. Crowley spent his life exploring Eastern mysticism, hard drugs and sex magick looking to meet Satan in person.  He died dismayed because he thought he was to be the beast spoken of in Revelations.  He may not have attained his one great aspiration, but his methodology seems to be working.  Indoctrinate the children, and it does not matter what the "traditionalists" believe.  He wrote another interesting book...a sort of Satanist manifesto.  In it he writes that, "Do what thou whilt shall be the whole of the law."

How often do we see that in our culture today?  Just do it.  If it feels good, do it.  You cannot legislate morality.  Character doesn't matter.  Whatever.  Do what seems right to you.  Who am I to judge?  Be true to yourself.

Just another random rant, I guess.  But how can this be combatted?  My hope is that through homeschooling, we will raise up a genearation with a significant voice.  One equipped to stand in the public square and meet the challenges of these teachings, shape our nation and lead on a straight path through the chaos.  Somehow, somewhere, there has to be an effect back on the public schools.  The following quote comes from a long ways away, but is it really so different than what we see happening in our own schools?

(again, my translation...this one is a bit awkward as some of these compound words do not exist in English)

The co-author of the Hessian Sexual Education Guidelines stated several years ago, "We need the sexual stimulation of the students in order to bring about the socialist restructuring of socety and the do away with the obedience to authority, including the love of a child to its parent.

from:  Gruende fuer Homeschooling (Reasons for homeschooling)

And I say again, that is because public schooling is NOT about reading and writing and arithmetic.  Not anymore.  It is about socialization...making the child property of the state.

I'm clinging to God's promise that He will always preserve a remnant for Himself. Our little ones will be that remnant.

Amen.

Isn't that great...to know that a remnant shall always be preserved? And that as insane as the world gets, we know from history that it only takes on acting in accordance with the will of God to set things straight.
