Genesis 3:20
Eve ... the mother of all the living.
That God equipped a woman from the very beginning to bring life into the world from her own body and to nurture growing families.
I don't know about you, but this statement almost took my breath away. Just the weight of it fell on me. This is an amazing thing. From the VERY begining God has given women, given us, given me the privilege and the responsibility to bring forth life. I have birthed nine children and I don't believe I have understood the value so clearly as I do today. I am almost in tears here. Don't you see how valuable we are to God, to His kingdom, to the world? God could have set any reproductive system in place that he wanted ... but he chose women to bring forth life and to nurture that life. I am completely caught up in this thought right now.
