Saturday morning adventure...
Ahhh! That was nice! We went downtown this morning to the Saturday Morning Green Market on Central Avenue between 1st. and 2nd. Avenues. It is basically just a bunch of little booths of vegees, kettle corn, art, jewelry, hot sauces, coffees, breads and bakery goods, plants, vegetarian food, bbq, and more. There was lots of people there, a lot had their dogs and we saw some friends from church and the mayor of St. Petersburg! A girl from our church makes jewelry and has a booth down there once a month. She was there today with her jewelry, it was really cool! I am definately going to get some from her! Sophie and Josie were busy picking out their favorites and like me, discovered they liked all of it! :-) I wonder if she would do a little class for my girls and maybe a friend or two? The girls would love that. After we left the market we went to Salvation Army to nose around. While we were there a little girl fell and hit her head on something and got cut on her scalp. For a bit it was rather traumatic, with all the confusion and crying and blood. I was able to offer some baby wipes to help clean her up. The cut ended up not being very bad, it just bled a lot because it was on her scalp. Hmmmm, I seem to be having interesting encounters at Salvation Army lately. I just was glad to be able to help when I could. We are going to Sonnie's mom's house tonight for a birthday dinner for him. That should be good. Dale will grill and I'm bringing pasta salad. Dreama is making a carrot cake! Yum! I'll let you know how it goes! :-)
