La, di, da, di - Strawberry Cookieeeee *if you draw the end of cookie out it makes a little song*

You're saying I already posted today??   What?   ME?   Noooooo.... *checks date of last post* oh, well, that wasn't really ME...*checks signature* oh yeah, 'twas.    Well, I guess I could admit I'm just a leetle bored.   Yeppers, just a leetle.

I had soccer tryouts tonight.   I made it on the gold team.   *smiles*    Have I mentioned before that I love soccer tryouts??  Well, I do.   The bugs really liked me out there.   I think it is because I was wearing soccer socks from my soccer bag (wait, don't run away, they were clean!!) and I keep a lil' nifty soccer ball air freshener in my bag.    If you put two and two together you might get that my socks smelled like air freshener, kind of a fruityish cleaner smell, and I guess the bugs like a fruityish cleaner smell so they liked me.   *NOTE:  Never wear fruityish cleaner smells to soccer practice or you will be swarmed by rabid gnats.*   Learn something new everyday!

My dear Mommy made strawberry cookies tonight.    They were very scrumptuously delicious.   They had little bits of strawberries all in them.   I had three cookies...but maybe...just maybe...I could possibly have just one more before bed.    Four IS an even number and...er, well...I think the eating of cookies should end on an even number and since I am a math whiz I know that 3+1=4...and hey!!...it just so happens that's an even number.   I am one lucky ducky.

Oh, guess what...I gets to go on a walk around the neighborhood.  *wild giggles*  I am no longer a leetle bored!!!!  yay me!!   byeeeee!

Smoothie Recipe

Hey, just wanted to post a really good smoothie recipe in case anyone wanted to try it.   It is summer, ya know!! ;)

  • two bananas
  • 1 cup of ice
  • a handful of fresh (or frozen) strawberries
  • 3/4 cup of orange juice
  • 3/4 cup of strawberry yogurt

Just put all that in a blender and turn it on high until it looks mixxed up and all the ice is crushed.  Serving size 4.  BTW, I don't measure it all out I just throw what  I think is that amount into the blender and it takes much less time. :)  ha ha!!  I hate reading recipes...

Also, I wanted to tell you about some awsome template blogs!  You can also get icons, blog buttons, etc. made by them too.

Smile!! :)

Just an Updataroo

So, how do ya like the new template?  I'm pretty much all done except for a few minor details. :)  Did you know?...I like dots. ha ha!!  Lemme know if you think something needs to be changed; I'm open for suggestions!

My baby brother (11 mo.) can walk really well now.   We went to Target on Saturday and he was walking around with us. He was walking down one aisle and all of the sudden he dropped on his hands and knees and started shooting for some baby toys.  LOL

We went to our grandma and grandpa's house last Saturday.  Joyful24 and I played soccer with our cousin and uncle.  Tomorrow is my last day of soccer tryouts.  I love just scrimmaging. =)

Be sure to check out my sidebar later!!  I'll be adding stuff on there. BTW, "updataroo" is a fancy word for "update". ;)

Soccer Tryouts

We have been having soccer tryouts.  I love soccer tryouts.  It's so much fun!!   My sister, my brother, and I all are trying out so we have been at the field about every day this week. We all have two more days of tryouts each! My younger brother doesn't have to try out cuz he is still in u10.

Let's see, what else has been going on??  Last weekend my friend, Marjie, spent the night.  It was a lot of fun!  My sister had one of her friends spend the night too. :)

We are still doing school cuz we don't get summer break until June 19th.  I can't wait!  Oh, and we are moving June 23rd...yes!!!  I really like the house we are moving into and it has a good backyard.   I'm pretty sure I have posted about that already on here so I won't bore you with saying anymore.

Short post.  I know.  I better go finish up my school though. Byeeeeee!!

Cat Whitehill

I had to write a report for writing and I started writing it about Krakatoa (it's a volcanic island) because I just read a book about it called The 21 Balloons...it's an awsome book.  Anyway, I didn't end up doing the Krakatoa report because I did one on Cat Whitehill instead.   She plays on the Women's National Team and, wait, why am I telling you this if you are just about to read it??

Cat Whitehill

Formerly Cat Reddick, now Cat Whitehill, joined the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup team playing as a defender.   She was expected to be a reserve player until Brandi Chastain was injured less than 45 minutes into the first match of the season.  After that, Cat Whitehill has the most minutes played on the team going into the pre-final Women’s World Cup match; starting and playing all 14 games.  She has two assists during the year of 2007.   In 2006 she had five amazing goals; one of these includes a 70 yard free-kick against Sweden, which is unofficially the longest goal in U.S. history!   In the 2005 Algarve Cup she played every minute and had an assist off her free-kick.  She had second to most minutes played this year on her team.   2004 brought in three goals from Cat Whitehill with playing 2,527 minutes!!    She was voted the U.S. Soccer Chevrolet Young Female Athletle of the Year in 2003.  She also established herself as a legitimate starter on the national team, starting 12 of the 17 matches.   She played all but 45 minutes of the Women’s World Cup scoring two goals; one was a header.   It was the first time in Women’s World Cup history a defender has scored twice in one match.  From 2002 – 2000 she scored five goals.  Her first goal playing professional was March 17, 2001 against Norway.   Cat Whitehill likes Chick-fil-a, sweet-tea, singing in the car, and watching football.   She wants to be a cowgirl, if she were not a soccer player.

...........................

I love that font, don't you?!  :)

I have soccer practice tonight.  It's really fun cuz my season is really over, but we are just doing soccer practice up until tryouts and we just scrimmage and play games all practice. =)

My baby brother (11 months), Quinn, can climb up on the couches now and can almost walk.  He is so funny sometimes!!  He is playing with the remote control right now.  He loves electronics and music, seriously. Whenever we turn music on he starts clicking his tongue and bouncing up and down.  It's so funny!!

Let's see, is there anything else I can say to stall so I don't have to go do school right now??  JK...I'm going, I'm going.  At least I already got math done!  Lucky me!!! =)

Oh wait, one more thing, CLICK HERE to go to Anna's blog.   She is having an ice cream flavor contest and I'm sure she would love for you to enter.

The Awesomely Titled Post

BTW, "awesomely" is a word, and yes, that is how you spell it.  I have proof from dictionary.com.

My two brothers had their semifinal tournament game this weekend and won against a really good team.  They went to the championship game and tied 0-0...then they went into overtime and were still tied so on they go into penalty kicks and lost.  They all played really hard though. My sis also had a tournament, so we've been travelling a lot this weekend.   My season is pretty much over except we are going to practice up until tryouts for next season.   I am guest playing in a tournament for another team and I am practicing with them on Mondays.

If you want some other news besides soccer, here it is - I'm pretty sure we found a house to buy; we agreed on a price and all.  I like it and I think it will be a good house for us.   Also, in the neighborhood, there is a park and a huge field that I'm sure will get lots of soccer use from us. :)   Anyone that lives (or is a guest) in the neighborhood can use it.

Also, yesterday was Mothers Day, as everyone probably knows...at least I hope, or at least your Mom hoped. ;)  Happy Mothers Day Mom!   I love you!!!

GrEEnPePPeRmInT

P.S.  I made a word today with its own meaning. ha ha!!  Maybe it will turn up in Greenpeppermint's 1st Edition Dictionary, ya' never know!  Here is how you spell it ABINDEBAY and here is how you pronounce it (U-BIN-DI-BAY).  I'm sure you are probobly wondering what in the world it means...or not...but I'll tell ya' anyway.

ABINDEBAY - So surprised you can not recall anything in your vocabulary and have nothing at all to utter.

I would tell you how I came up with this word but that would ruin the whole thing and you probably would not think of the word the same way as before you knew.  Pretty confusing, huh??

This Post is Filled With What I Just Typed :)

I had a soccer game Friday and Saturday.  The game on Friday we played really well and we won against the team that won the state cup!  The game on Saturday we all played really bad and couldn't connect passes or anything.   We lost against a pretty easy team.  I have another soccer game tonight and we really need to win this if we are going to get 1st in the season games!    We are playing against the team that won the state cup again.   Anyway, all that probably means nothing to you so I will stop talking about it. :)

Last night we all went to Bruster's (ice cream place) and we each got a waffle cone.  They gave us all an extra scoop for free because it was raining! :)  I got a flavor called Monkey Madness.  It is vanilla ice cream with marshmallows, chocolate pieces, and bananas in it.   It was really good.  Their waffle cones are ginormous!!

This Thursday we have an art show.  I entered four pictures that I drew...

1. a squirrel at a bird feeder

2. my soccer cleat :)

3. a tea kettle

Wait, that is only three.  I know I entered four, but I can't remember the other one.  I'm sure I'll remember it as soon as I click the "add new entry" button to post this. :)

Right now my sister is making a truck load of chicken salad.  Seriously.  I think she quadrupled the recipe!!

I better go now.  I just made this real quick for my signature. Like it?

EGGstraordinary Easter

Yeah, I know, the title is so lame.  Anyway...

We did Easter at my aunt's house, like I said in my last post.  It was my baby brother's first Easter.  He did the Easter egg hunt and he figured out how to get the egg open for the candy.  We kept digging aluminum wrapped chocolate eggs out of his mouth!!  There was an Easter egg hunt for everyone under 13 and then a hunt for older kids where you had to follow clues and stuff.   I got attacked by a bush.  It stuck me in the leg with its long, pointy, razor sharp end...thingys.  It may not have been all the bushes fault, it may have something to do with me running into the bush...I don't know though.  ;-)

My aunt brought these chicks and guess what colors they were!   They were blue, orange, red, yellow, and purple chicks!  They were so cute!!

When we got home that night we did Easter baskets.  I got cards to write letters on, soccer staitonary, candy, and this white finger nail paint pen that you can draw on your nails with.   It is also used for French manicures, so I French manicured my finger nails.  It worked pretty well too!   Thanks Mom and Dad!

Check out this LINK.  You can go there to watch six goals scored in professional soccer and then vote on which one you think should be "goal of the week".   AFTER you have voted CLICK HERE to see who I voted for.  I did that so you wouldn't see what I voted before you voted. :)

Hope Everyone Has a....

HAPPY EASTER!!!  We are at our grandma's house right now.   No one is up yet except me.  At noon today we are going to my aunt's house to have the easter egg hunt and lunch and everything.

Mathew 28:2  And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

Mathew 28:5-7

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Messing Around with the Camera

I was just messing around one day with the camera and took these pictures. Some of them might make good icons...hmmm.

I thought this one was cool. My sister came up with that idea.

I like this one too! :)

Today we had thunder, lightning, hail, and rain.   A big dead tree fell over accross the street and hit somebody in the head.  =/    They went to the hospital in the ambulance, but I think they are okay.   They stayed concious the whole time.

My sister won her game last night.  Her team played really well.  After the game we went to Bruster's with some friends for banana splits!

I've been adding things to my blog lately.   I have two new sections on my sidebar and I actually wrote something by my avatar!  lol  Let me know how you like the pics!

Soccer Tourney in Mississippi and Other "Doings"

I had a soccer tournament in Mississippi a couple weeks ago.   We didn't do to well.   We played against the best team in Mississippi one game...I think they are also pretty high up in the region 3 thing too.   I don't remember all the scores of the first three games, I know it was something to 0. =P   So, we lost all of our games except our last one.    We won that one...at least we didn't go home without a win.   lol   The tournament was fun though.   We had a big pillow fight at the hotel!  =)   ha ha

Last Saturday we went bouldering.    We went to this place that had lots of boulders; some were 30 - 40 feet high and straight up.   They had easier boulders also.   There was also a river with a small waterfall that had absolutely FrEEzInG cold water in it.   You are supposed to bring this big pad that you lay at the bottom of where you are climbing so if you fall, you might be able to hit it.   But we didn't bring one...aren't we dangerous??  Do they really think you are going to hit that little pad when you fall off the side of a boulder?...I don't think so.

I have soccer practice tonight.  Last practice was the most wonderfullest practice I have had all season!   Last night two of my brothers and my sister had practice.   I usually help with my brother's practice but I rode to pick up my friend from ultimate frisbee and then we came back and talked and stuff instead.  :)

I'm hungry....hmmm, how about a cheese stick?  The kind with the little bread crumbs on top of course, not the kind that is just plain cheese; those are only good to melt in lentil soup.   Yes, only lentil soup.

Another Post About Another One of my Weekends

Why is it that I seem to post about weekends a lot?  Maybe because they are usually the most fun part of the week.  lol  :)   Last Friday my Mom took me shopping after dinner at Kohl's.   I got three shirts and pairs of capris.   One pair is grey with some...ya' know, just "stuff" on them and the other is green, blue and brown.   It was a lot of fun.   On Saturday we had to get up at "to early for me time" and go to my sister's soccer game.   It took two hours to get there.    It was really rainy and cold so I just got in my friend's car and watched from their.  LOL  After the game we went to Grandma's and Grandpa's house and stayed there until about 6.   Then we went to Wal-Mart and came home.    On Sunday we got up and went to church and then came home and ate lunch.   After lunch we had a lemonade stand.  We loaded all the stuff up in the van and Dad drove us to a corner in our neighborhood and dropped us off.  We used part of a shelf from our garage for a table...with a blue tablecloth over it.   We sold cups of fruit punch and lemonade for 50 cents and bottled lemonade and fruit punch for a $1.00.   Everybody that came bought bottled lemonade.   lol  We made $5.75 cents.    We ended up with the uneven 75 cents because one guy through a quarter at us when he was driving buy.  ha ha!   Anyway, after a couple hours we called Dad and he came and picked us up.   When we got home I gave two of my brothers and my Dad a haircut and then we ate dinner.   After dinner we went on a walk at the Summit.   We saw a smart car in the parking lot and we all crowded around it, measured it with our arms, looked in the windows...which brings me too this....

Picture this.   This Smart Car is stopped at a red light.   A big Tahoe pulls up next to them and there are tons of people packed in the Tahoe.  The people in the Tahoe start pointing at the Smart Car and just roaring with laughter at these two big guys squished inside the Smart Car.

That would be so funny!

Anyway, on Tuesday and Wednesday my sister and I are doing an all day babysitting class.   You get certified as a babysitter and learn how to do different things.  Also, my uncle and my cousin are staying at our house from Wednesday until Saturday this week!

OH, GUESS WHAT!   I HAVE A SOCCER TOURNAMENT IN MISSISSIPPI IN TWO WEEKS!

Electro-what?

Just ignore this post if you want.   I'm posting my definitions I need to memorize for my test in science.  ha ha!  I have 6 definitions that I have to memorize for science and I need to have it memorized soon because I am taking my science test Wednesday or Thursday.  Maybe it will help me memorize it more to type it out.  So, from here on, you can just ignore.

Electrolysis - The use of electricity to break a molecule down into smaller units.

Polar Molecule - A molecule that has slight positive and negative charges due to an imbalance in the way elections are shared

Solvent - A liquid substance capable of dissolving other substances

Solute - A substance that is dissolved in a solvent

Cohesion - The phenomenon that occurs when individual molecules are so strongly attracted to each other that they tend to stay together, even when exposed to tension

Hard water - Water that has certain dissolved ions in it - predominately calcium and magnesium ions

Last chapter I had to memorize 14 definitions!  =P  I should have a larger tongue for my smiley than that.  My friend and I are doing science together so we wrote them out on index cards and played the match game to help us memorize it.  LOL   We played this other game too where we had to act out the definition we got.  That was pretty funny. =)   Also, I made a song for each definition...that helped a lot.  :)

Bye Peoples!!

Update...yeah, I know...boring title

I haven't posted in a while...surprise, surprise!

I ordered a purse off the internet a while ago and it finally came the other day.   It's a brown Kavu purse.   I really like it.

The weekend before last we went to a friend's birthday party at the skating rink.  I hadn't skated in a while...especially with roller blades...I'm much better with in-line skates.  It was fun though. We also went shopping that day.   I got some jeans and two shirts.  :)   That was our last weekend we didn't have soccer games for a long time.  Our soccer games are starting up again.

Last weekend Felicity had two practice games and my brothers had one real game.  I played in Felicity's second game because they didn't have enough players, and I could because it was a practice game.  That night we went to Bruster's (ice cream place) with friends and we wore our pajamas.  If you wore your pjs then you got a free waffle cone!...and their waffle cones are hugimungous (my own word pronounced hyoo-ju-mung-us).  It was really fun.   I got turtle cheesecake ice cream.  It had pecans in it...I like pecans. :)  On Sunday I went around the neighborhood giving flyers to houses, well, not really to houses, but to the people in the house. ;)  LOL   The flyers were for my dog watching/walking business I have.  Hopefully I will get some business from people going on trips for spring break.  :)

Bye peoples!!

About a week ago I was reading a book to two of my little brothers.   I was telling one of them that the ship that the people are on (in the book) is called Abraham Lincoln.   The younger one (8 yo.) said, "ABRAHAM LINCOLN?  THAT'S A STATE!!!".   It was SO funny!    Graham, the same one that said that, just had a birthday.   He turned 8 years old!   Happy birthday, Graham!   =)

Okey-dokey, got to go to bed now.   Sorry so short, just wanted to post about that.

My Own Recipe =)

Okay, I don't normally like to cook...at all.   Sometimes though, there is a day, every so often, that I feel like cooking, well, not really cooking...more like baking.   Baking is the one where you make more desserts, right?  ;-)   So one night I felt like cooking  baking and I ended up making something without directions.   So I guess that means I made up this recipe.   ha ha!   So here it is, I took pics and all for ya (just incase you wanted to try it out).

You need:

 * Pre-made pie crust

 * apples (one for each person)

 * one box of cream cheese

 * 2 tablespoons of cinnamon

 * 1 tablespoon of sugar

1. Peel skin off of apples.   Peel one apple for every person you are making it for.

2.  Slice apples, easy way is this handy dandy apple slicer we have (see above pic). Ours is pretty ancient...maybe everyone has one.

3.  Get your pre-made pie crust and lay it out flat on a cutting board.  Cut it into squares with a pizza cutter.  Make your squares about 2 by 2 inches, maybe even bigger.  I made mine a little small.

4.  Then melt cream cheese in the microwave until it gets a little warm and easy to spread.  Spread it all over your pie crust and then sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the top.

5.  Next, get your apple slices and roll one apple slice in each square.

Put them on a tray and pop them in the oven on 350 degrees until the pie crust starts getting brown and the apples get pretty soft.   It will probably take at least 30 minutes.   Hint: It's good with whipped cream or cool whip.

Let me know if you try it. =)  I need to go to bed now.

P.S. You can see the pictures, right?

Will you dare spend time reading this entire, long post? Try it. I dare you too.

Hey, guess what, I'm still here!  Yup, here I am.  I haven't posted in a while.  I have been so busy.  The Thursday before last I left to go to All-State.   It's an orchestra thing and I was gone for about four days.   I stayed in a hotel with MBF and some of her family.  I brought along a truckload of snacks, just incase I starved...you never know! ;) All-State was superbly fun and excitingly great!  ha ha!  On Thurday we had the auditions for the seating.   Friday and Saturday we practiced like all day.  Then, the concert was on Sunday!  My Grandma and Grandpa and (of course) my family came to it.  =)  I will have to post pics once they are uploaded on our computer.

Guess what...I have finished three books this week...possibly soon to be four.  One of them was The Strange Case of Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde.  Oh, wow, that is scary.   I don't do well with scary, gross, bloody, or any of those type of things.   Let's just say, I could never ever be a doctor, even if I wanted to be.   Also, I will never watch the Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde movie.  That would be pretty scary!   So, after that book my sister and I started reading aloud another book with eachother...ya' know what the book we are reading now is?...it's Frankenstein!!!   That is a great book for me (NOT). Anyway, the other two books I finished was two Little House on the Prairie books.  I've already read all of them, but I wanted to read some again.   I read Little Town on the Prairie and These Happy Golden Years.   I have a question though.  How could keep their wagons so clean and not leave much in them, and our car is so dirty?!    The other day Mom went somewhere and when she came back she said that when she said that every time she turned the corner all the stuff on the dashboard and every thing on the floors in the back when sliding the way she turned.   She said she felt like she was driving a garbage truck.  LOL  Lots of times when I am riding in the front seat, and we turn, all the stuff on the dashboard flies to the side we turned on and many times it flies stuff I get to catch it (with my wonderful catching skills...no, I play soccer).   Anyway, the "possibly soon to be four" book that I mentoined about is The Jungle Book.   Never read that book!  It's so boring and the whole story line is stupid.  Anways...

Tomorrow my sister has a soccer "mini-camp".  She is really excited.  They are going to have these to agility trainers (I think) come and teach them for two hours and then her whole team is going to eat lunch together at Zaxby's and then they are going to practice for about three hours more.  Oh, did you know that Zaxby's sauce has anchovies in it?!   I was reading the ingredients one day and I saw anchovies on it and I don't think I've tasted their sauce since.   I used to love it.  I hate fish though, and even though I can't taste the anchovies in there and I didn't even know it had them before, still, it just makes me sick to think I'm eating little fish in a sauce.

I came up with a new school schedule for me today.   I can actually fit all my subjects in one day!  Wooohooo!   Last night I had soccer practice, it was cancelled on Wednesday, so we had it on Thurday instead.   It was freezing.  I had two pairs of socks on and my toes were still frozen!!   When I came home last night we were watching this video of a comedian that Mom showed us on the computer.  It was really funny.   We were all crowded around the computer laughing.   It was about pop-tarts.  You didn't know pop-tarts were so funny, did you?   ;)   Here is the link to it, if you want to watch it.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8kThoZpF_U   We have been watching other ones too.  They are so funny!

If you read this "entire, long post" then...congrats to you!  bye bye  =0)

About Me

Once upon a time there was a 15 year old Christian girl with light brown hair and blue eyes. She has five younger siblings and a wonderul Dad and Mom that she loves soo much. She lives in a blue house in the corner of a neighborhood somewhere in the States. One of her fave Bible verses is Philipians 4:13. She is so into soccer and eats an average of about 103 gallons of ice cream per week. She hates math, loves history, plays the violin, loves to spend time with her family, rides a unicycle, laughs a lot, loves Christmas time, trips up the stairs, has her driving permit, and beleives that God gave us the greatest gift ever - salvation.
