Never Boring Hear......

Oh My...

I am a mother of three children.  My husband and I have a soon to be 14 year old daughter, a just turned 12 year old son (Oct. 29th) and a 10 and a half year old son.  We are going into our fourth year of homeschooling.  It has been a tough journey for us.  Each year we started out well and it went downhill from there.
We have dealt with several deaths in the past three years not to mention the illnesses and hospital stays of my mother.  There have been several times that I have just wanted to throw my arms up in frustration but God has always been faithful in bringing me back to where I need to be and why I am home with our three children.
Homeschooling was not my initial idea.  We were getting near registration time for the private Christian school our children were attending and my husband informed me that he had been giving this much thought and prayer. He felt in his heart that God was leading us to home school.  To be honest with you....I just sat there looking at him and could only think of the word "okay".  But say that very elongated.  In my heart and head I was thinking..."Helloooo, Lord. No one told me this!"
It is an exciting journey and one I tremble at.  The awesome responsibility of what lies ahead is filled with excitement and a little trepidation on my part.
If I have ever had any doubts today helped me to see that we are doing the right thing.  I had a lovely time with my daughter and we were able to clear the air on several topics that had been an issue in our relationship.
That is just a little about us.  I am 43 years old.  I didn't get married until I was 29.  My husband and I celebrated our 14th anniversary in July.
We are  proudly owned by 1 Great Pyrenees, 1 Pomeranian, 1 White Fronted Green Amazon  Parrot and 1 African Timneh Grey Parrot....they are referred to as Zeus, Dudley, Maxi and Loki.  The birds came prenamed.  We also have a huge Oscar that my husband tells everyone is an albino piranha.  The way he bites when you feed him...would lend credence to that thought.
We live in the Washington D.C. area.  This is the best place to be living and home schooling.  Virginia is a fun state to visit and so full of history.

Other than what I have all ready shared, I hope to be a blessing to anyone who takes the time to read what I have written.

Off to bed for me.....my computer didn't know about the time change being switched to another date so I have been sitting here thinking it was still early when in fact it is quite late.
