Fun Fridays: My hobbies!

I have a few hobbies, and I thought that today I'd show you a little about it... it being a Fun Friday and all... you should be able to click on the pictures to see them full-size.

I make jewelry. Here's a picture of some of my older stuff. I don't really have much recent stuff around... I've given it all away. There's two bracelets, some dangly earrings, and two pairs of my much-loved paper clip earrings. I think they're fun, I get requests for those. To make them, all you have to do is put a paper clip through the hole of an ordinary earring thingamajig. I get them at wal-mart, and they have these cool stripey paper clips there too.

I also do calligraphy and stamping. Here's some pics of that stuff.

The first is just some scrap practice writing I did, and I stuck it in my book. I was practicing for Christmas cards, I didn't end up using it... it sounds a little too "Politically Correct"!

This is some of my stamping stuff, greeting cards. I chose examples of my favorites for ya. I started making doubles of all my cards when after I went to my cousin's house last spring. She has a file of the cards she's made and she gets ideas from those.

And now for one of my favorite hobbies... DUCT TAPE stuff!

That Duct Tape book is hilarious. I put it in the picture to show you what it looks like. Now, go to your library and get it. For more information you can go to Amazon.com and read the description. It's hilarious. You won't get really any tips about how to make this kinda stuff out of duct tape, but you'll learn how to walk on ceilings, wrap gifts, and remove bee stingers with duct tape. Who doesn't need that?

I get asked "So, how did you make those duct tape things?" The wallets are easiest, I got the instructions on the internet. Just google "duct tape wallet instructions" or something of that sort, and voila.. you're on a roll. Haha, get it? Roll! Ok, moving on, for the tote, basically I made it up from scratch, I couldn't really find any instructions, believe me, I looked. I saw something like it at http://www.ducttapefashion.com/ and I went from there. It wasn't too hard, it just took a little patience and a lot of time. And when I was done I felt like I had no fingerprints left. :)

Well, that's about all I have to say, I think. See ya! (I won't be posting tomorrow... I'm taking the ACT!!!)

Your crafts look like fun. I do some beading and calligraphy as well, though I've never tried anything with ducktape. ~ Elise
