Our Trip to Camp du Nord ~ Ely, Minnesota

• Jun. 20, 2008 - Little Slugger

This week, Hawken left my side to play t-ball with the group!  Once he got out there, he didn't even look back.  He had a great time, and when I asked him what his favorite part about t-ball was, he said, "Everything!"  He's excited to play again next week!

I was wondering how this would all go for him after our first time last week.  I was an assistant coach at our last game, and Hawken was stuck to me like glue.

This week I wasn't coaching, and it made all the difference for him.  He asked me to introduce him to some of the kids, and then he told me to stand in a certain spot to watch him.  That was all he needed.

Here he is, warming up with the group.  (He's in the gray shorts and blue shirt.)

The kids are waiting in line to run the bases.  Aren't they cute?

The playground at the park is fun too!

I didn't get over to Harper's field this week because I told Hawken I would stay and watch him.  Pete coached the six-year-olds this week, which was fun for both him and Harper.  They had a good time, and Harper had some good hits!

I'll have to get over and snap a few pics of Harper and Pete next week!

About Us

Hi, and welcome to our blog! We're creating a love of learning with two creative, fun-loving boys. We use an eclectic approach to learning with Sonlight curriculum, Charlotte Mason ideals, and whatever else works for us along the way. The purpose of our blog is keep friends and family updated on our family-happenings, as well as give others a peek into our approach to learning. I also use it as a source of record-keeping, and a place to keep track of my random thoughts. If you have a moment, please leave us a comment. We love to know who's reading the blog. Thanks for visiting!
