New Homeschool Magazine! The Heart of the Matter

I just heard about a new homeschool magazine called "The Heart of the Matter." I just love that name.  Actually, there is even a contest associated with the new magazine. Just pop on over and check it out.

I would put an image of the magazine here, but I haven't quite figured out how to do pictures yet.

Wouldn't I just LOVE to win that package. I love everything listed in the package, especially the devotional and praise book. I looked  at the excerpt on Amazon and just know I could really use this book.  I love all the items listed in the package. I am a devoted organizer...I love index card binders, chicken rings (binder rings), containers, forms, charts, graphs, flip charts, and anything else that will help the learning or the teaching process. I think I used my starter set of Cuisenaire rods in more ways than can be imagined--including just plain old colored building blocks. The kids even made trains from them. Naturally, the trains had to be counted and sorted by color, length, sets, etc. You just can't have a manipulative without a million uses for that manipulative. What is funny is that the uses multiply, just like rabbits...rapidly and a lot of them.

I love anything that I can be creative with...even a piece of paper. Stop and think of how many uses you have for a simple piece of paper. Paper is not just for doing school work. There are a million different ways you can use a piece of paper. Right now, the art club at school is working on making 1,000 paper origami cranes to send to Hiroshima. That is a big project--fascinating but big..

The magazine is an emagazine actually, and it has a wealth of information from what I can see. I am anxious to read more.  The first article I read was a wakeup call. Andrea and I have been so much into the math battle, that I have been neglecting her Bible studies to make room for the war. Now, I am seeing how we have slidden away from what used to be the most important subject of the day. We are going to change that right now. It's back to the Bible for us.

I keep trying to insert images and links, but I am having problems with this. Does anyone have any hints on how to do that on here?
