Mr. Frog/ Susanna update

Posted in Susanna updates

Thomas found a frog today while feeding the dogs.  It's one of his before breakfast morning chores.  The children got so excited and wanted to know if they could go out and play with it.  I told them sure and they all raced out the door, except Susanna of course.  lol  I told them to come in as soon as they were ready for breakfast.  That happened at 12:30 this afternoon!    In the meantime, they built an entire froggy world outside, using our little cheapo swimming pool (the hard plastic kind).  They put water in it and then added rocks, a log, etc. to make it a nice environment for the frog.  They had the best time out there!  Mr. Frog has now been released back into the wild, my children's hands are scrubbed, and their bellies are full.

We finally got a call from Children's and Susanna now has an appointment with a Failure to Thrive specialist on July 17th!  Is that nuts or what?  I say we all pray that she doesn't even need it by then!

We are continuing to drink our green smoothies and totally love them!  I've noticed that my back pain has really lessened.  Praise the Lord for that!  We've been having them daily now for over a month.  I drink at least a quart a day.  I really believe that they are helping Susanna, too!

Love, Dawn

Hi. Frog fun is tempting. The tadpoles I was given some time ago never turned into frogs. They kind of got fewer and fewer and then they died. Do you know why?

Pray tell what green smoothies are. Must have missed your post on them. Thanks. Have a great day in Christ.
Blessings,

Above Rubies is what got me started on green smoothies, but now I make them all kinds of different ways. Here's a great site I found with info on them plus lots of recipes: http://www.emaxhealth.com/14/1182.html. I'm currently reading a whole book on the subject called "Green for Life." It's great! The basic instructions are:
Half a blender of leafy greens
Top with any super foods you have (spirulina, bee pollen, virgin coconut oil, etc.)
Fill other half of blender with fruit
Fill to max line with water
Whirrrrrrr to yummy perfection! :-D

Hello again! If you visit my blog you will see that we also had an experience similiar to your frog one but with a baby bird. This morning I woke up to find it was dead:( I was very sad. That's wonderful that your back pain has lessened from the smoothies and that they're helping Susanna! I will continue to pray for your family

Hi! It's me, Jannie from Happy yahoo group. I can't believe they would give a "failure to thrive" infant an appointment 2 months away!! That just does not even make a lick of sense. I agree- lets pray that she will not need them.

My 4db8 and 5ds6 are the same way with frogs and toads. In facted, we have a tank with 1 toad, 1 frog, and 2 salamanders. He did have a turtle but is died. They love holding them and playing with them, even though the frogs and toad pee on them. EWWWWW!

We buy cricktes every week to feed them and in the summer time the kids like to sit around the window and watch the reptiles eat the bugs....LOLI used to be the same way but I'm a little older now and don't enjoy it all the much!

I will be praying for Susanna and i know God has a special plan for her and he will see it through!

Anyway,
I have added you to my friends and welcome you to do the same....

Sincerely,
Myrtle Dimple hardbottle
