I know you guys have more ideas for no-cook dinners out there. Thanks to diamondsintherough and Jenn4Him for contributing already. Well, Jenn points out the glorious crockpot. I am a huge fan of the crockpot myself but it does require pre-planning. And I am WAAAAAY out of practice with my food schedule. It's so sad. Maybe if I pulled myself together....
I once read a cookbook that had a whole chapter on no-cook meals but I must have been unimpressed as I can't remember any of them. Go figure.
Maybe this is the year I try a fruit soup. I had one once at ElizabethAnne's house and it was yummo. But she cooked her's first. Hm.
I am going to also peruse the internet and see what I can find. I know you are all dying to know what to make for dinner.
Apr. 23, 2008 - Fruit Soup!
Hey, great minds really do think alike!! For the past week I have been waiting by my mailbox for a fruit soup cookbook. I bought it sight unseen (whatever the heck that convoluted saying means!) so I'm not sure if it's even any good. I have a couple of fruit soup recipes in my new Royal Caribbean cookbook too because I had a different fruit soup every night on my cruise in the Fall and loved all of them. So....
And believe it or not, I do make meals from time to time, so I will try to think of some easy ones.
Don't know how Hub will feel about this, but take a can (two or three in your family's case) of chick peas, smash up with some lemon juice and garlic, get a pack of pita bread, cut into quarters and viola! Greek night!
Um, yeah, I can really do better than that.
