A Life in the Day of... Learning Something New
I felt such joy last night, after hours of trying to "figure out" my sewing machine (no-- I don't know how to sew-- YET! I'm LEARNING!). Well, I finally figured out how to wind a bobbin, how to thread the machine, how to load the bobbin (and FASTEN the bobbin case in!), and how to adjust the machine to make several different kinds of stitches! Yay!
After so much frustration and focus, I was tired... but it felt good to learn something new! And soon (maybe tomorrow!) I will start on my first project: a tote bag with pockets.
I'll let you know how that works out.

That's fantastic. My daughter and I also just started to learn how to use our sewing machine (given to us by my husband's sister). It does feel good to learn something new :).
