~ Good Quote & Some Garden Updates ~

My green thumb came only as a result of the mistakes I made while learning to see things from the plant's point of view.
~H. Fred Ale

Here we pulled out an old dead bush, transplanted hosta from the front yard and spread some mulch.  This area was almost done for free!

My new pitch-fork!

Jenn! They look FABULOUS!!!!!!!!! Congratulations on your gardens. They are doing wonderfully, and I just want to celebrate with you. May your gardens' yield be a blessing and bounteous. (Is bounteous a word?)

You have a very nice box garden, I think I'll do the same next year. Our soil is mostly hard and rocky here, and I think the gardens will do much better boxed.

You know you are a true gardener when you are excited about a pitchfork. :)

Your garden is so green and lush....great job. I know how much work goes into getting a garden started and the trick is to keep up the enthusiasm.

I love your garden updates.

I am amazed at how lovely everything is growing in your gardens! Great job! Isn't gardening SO therapeutic?! That reminds me that I am due to post an update on our garden too. However, I'm definitely going to have to try your soil mixture next year, because ours aren't flourishing quite so well.

Blessings, Melissa

~ All About Me ~

Welcome to my happy little place to learn about the study of nature and all things beautiful. This is my personal nature journal, where I hope to record my fledgling journey as a naturalist and my appreciation for the Master Gardener's creation. I will also display some of my favorite paintings and list some of my favorite living books and quotes. I hope you will enjoy your visit.
