The Morning Glory is finally blooming, one bloom at a time! I love its rich color. Of course, I long for more blooms, too.
Here is a side-dish in the making, perhaps tomorrow evening?
Cool slices on my next salad perhaps? Now I am starting to feel like a predatory gardener.
The big picture.
The lilies are still going. Last blooms are getting ready for their swan song.
I can honestly say that is the most beautiful photo of a Morning Glory I have ever seen! It reminds me of a Georgia O'Keefe painting. Our garden has just about produced all it's going to. The okra is really all that is thriving anymore because we've had such hot temps.
So sorry about not being able to follow through with showing your calf as a child because of your parents divorce. We lived in CA when I was a child and my parents divorced. We left everything, our bikes, our toys, even our pets...sad memory. Thankfully God restoreth what the locust has eaten (sorry, I can't remember where that is).
Blessings, Julie
Oh, Jenn! That's a gorgeous morning glory! Those are a fave here. I haven't planted any in a few years. The lies about them becoming invasive aren't true here at least.
What a great garden you've got this year. Congratulations on the fruits of your labors!
Beautiful pictures! Our garden hasn't produced much this year. I'm not sure why. But the Lord supplied through my mom delivering veg from there church garden. Now my cellar is full of canned goods. I rescued a morning glory from my field earlier this week and potted it inside. Hopefully next year I can plnat it outside by my little wishing well and it will take off. It wasn't a brillant blue like yours, but a soft purple-blue.
Anyway, I like your blog and hope to visit again soon.
Marie :)
Welcome to my happy little place to learn about the study of nature and all things beautiful. This is my personal nature journal, where I hope to record my fledgling journey as a naturalist and my appreciation for the Master Gardener's creation. I will also display some of my favorite paintings and list some of my favorite living books and quotes. I hope you will enjoy your visit.
