Cool Day!
The cookie exchange I attended today was great but I had a great homeschool moment on the way home that only another homeschooler would appreciate. Actually, I have to qualify that, because even my hubby didn't quite "get it".
On the way home, I went by the library to pick up some books on hold. They were all for me, which was great but...
The librarian and I were having a conversation about how I love the new book transfer system because I can't afford to buy too many books since the latest car repair. He said that he always shopped the "friends of the library" bookshelves because there were frequently brand new books for only a buck or two. So of course, I had to look. And there it was...
A complete set of 2005 World Book encyclopedias for only $15! Since we usually use the internet, Cindy has not really experienced the joy of encyclopedia research in real books. Of course her teenager-y enthusiastic (not!) response was "You're gonna make me do more research papers now; aren't you?" Well, duh!!!
Yes, indeed! A moment only a fellow homeschooler could appreciate!
