God, family, school, household management, Girl Scouts, church...how do I fit it all in? Truthfully, sometimes I don't; but it sure is fun trying!

Wanna Pray With Me?

Next week is our Truth Quest Kids Camp for 3 churches: Calvary Chapel, Northside and Pathways.

I have the great joy of leading devotions with the junior staff (teens).  For those of you who have never been able to do this, it means I’m gonna be learning something BIG.  I always do when I get to have devotions with the teens!

It also means that I get to resurrect an old custom from the days when my son was going on mission trips—prayer ribbons!  I fold the ribbons in a Girl Scout friendship knot.

Making two hundred knots gives me a lot of time to pray for the recipients.  When we get to camp each one of the teens will receive their prayer ribbon. I commit to praying every day of camp for the needs of the person with the ribbon.  If, during their time at camp, they see a camper or staffer who needs prayer (think homesickness, bad day...oh, come on, we all need prayer!), they should share their prayer ribbon with them (I have more, so they can get another one).

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if, by the end of camp, every camper, counselor and staff member had a prayer ribbon?

Which brings me to all of you!  I need prayer partners!  You don’t have to know what the prayer needs are each day—God does (Romans 8:26) I’m just asking you to remember to pray every day from 6/22 to 6/27 for whoever has “your” ribbon(s).   Imagine how cool it will be for the kids and teens to find out that people they don’t even know are taking time out of their day to pray for them!  And imagine what God can do in a camp with all that prayer support! Come on, wanna pray with me?
