Apr. 26, 2008 - My violin
This is my violin, that as of yesterday I was content with...............My violin teacher let me play one of her old violins, by old I mean made in the 1700's and it was NICE, she said to talk to my parents, and NOW I am actively looking and reading and sending e-mails to violin shops. But I would like to buy her violin. It is only worth $1,700, because the Scroll is not the original, and on that era the violin maker’s scroll was his signature, and because the scroll was replaced it isn't as old as the rest of the violin. that is really why the value is depreciated, that is not a bad thing for me if I were to buy it, it sounds SOOO NICE it is very experienced, easy to play fits great.
NONE THE LESS here are some pictures of the one I have now.
My brother thought it would be funny to stick his hand in the way in this next one........

Wow, I couldn't imagine paying that much for a violin. But of course I don't play, even though my parents bought me one for Christmas like three years ago, we've just been really busy.

Oh yah, let me know if you buy it.
To me it sounds like a good investment since it is antique.
In the old cit of Jerusalem, some one tried to get us to buy a lamp by saying it was "the one Jesus read with".
So at least that is the real thing.

Hello!
I found your blog...somewhere...and just had to comment on your violin :-). It is just gorgeous! How long have you played? I play the viola, and you've inspired me to put up some pictures of mine some time.
May I add you to my friends?

ETA: Oh, you have the double violin concerto on your playlist...cool :-).

Hey! Haha! I know what you mean! When ever I play my teacher's piano, it makes mine seem so shabby! Its OLD, (an antique) and in bad shape! Most of the ivories are missing and the finish is coming off! And it echos inside the piano! Its bcuz the shape is old; its one of those high ones, that you need an organ bench to sit on when you play it! :o
Hope you get the violin!
Well, gotta skedaddle! :)

Thanks for adding me! I added you too.
I think I've played viola about that long, too...maybe closer to three years. But yes, I absolutely love the deep, rich tones, and I've never been a fan of the violin's E string ;-).
