Hello all.
Well we have my husbands aunt and cousin in from Ohio. It is great. His uncle is in and out but mainly camping and visiting old friends. We had a cookout last night and could have invited the entire county. I fixed WAY to much!! My hubby roasted 24 ears of corn on the grill while I baked about 15 potatoes in the oven. Then he grilled 20 hot dogs, 12 steaks and 12 hamburgers. I also made baked beans and a pecan pie. My mother, sister, niece, nephew and my mother's friend from Michigan, that was in for a family reunion, along with her husband and mother came as well. Hubby's brother, sister-in-law, 2 nephews and niece showed up later and everyone sat inside and out and just talked for a long time while all of the kids played outside. Later I took some leftovers to a neighbor but we still have enough for about 2 more days.
These are the days. However, I don't know why I didn't take more pictures. Have you ever had one of those days that you want to remember for years to come and don't know why you didn't get the camera out more or turn the camcorder on and let it roll??
Oh well. Most of my family went to my cousins wedding on July 4th. I took the pictures. It was really festive. After, we came home to celebrate with fireworks at my sister's house. It is amazing what you can purchase for a few dollars anymore, at least as far as fireworks go. They were amazing!!
Since the family is going back to Ohio tomorrow we are going to make a day of today. We are going to go to the beach and look for some yard sales on the way. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer time and had a great 4th of July.
