August 17, 2008 - This isn't simple....

I thought that it would be simple to simply put my "Friends" and other categories to the left side, instead of centering them. However, it doesn't seem to be that easy. How do you change this in your template?

It's hard because I can't see your template - but in my template I have something that looks like this:

td.rightside {
font-size: 8pt;
padding-top: 5px;
padding-left: 5px;
padding-right: 5px;
padding-bottom: 5px;
line-height: 1.2;
font-family: georgia, verdana, arial, tahoma, sans-serif;
}

Mine doesn't specify text-align. But, the default is left in web browsers, so if you don't specify, it will align left. But, my guess (only a guess) is that your template specifies

text-align: center;

for your right section - the td.rightside on my template. If this is the case, just change the word "center" to "left" and that should fix it. But, your template could be set up differently than mine.

To understand templates, study cascading style sheets in your HTML book (my favorite beginner books are the Visual Quickstart books).
