The Case of Peter Piper's Pickled Peppers
For all those who ever wondered about that famous rhyme, fear not...I have the answer! Gordie wandered around the kitchen, reciting the age old tongue twister "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, a peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked. If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, where's the pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?" He said it word perfect. Didn't miss a beat. Then, after thinking for a moment, he asked Mom and I, "Where did they go?" "What?" Mom asked. "Where did the pickled peppers that Peter Piper picked go?" "Hmm. I don't know...where did they go?" she answered. I just kept slicing potatoes for french fries quietly, thinking. "I don't know." "It's a mystery," Mom said suspiciously. "He ate 'em," I said. "Huh?" Mom asked. "He ate 'em! That's what happened to them. Peter Piper ate them," I said confidently. "Oh," Mom said. "Says who?" "Says me." "Oh, well there you go." "Guess that solves it," Gordie said. "What a little piglet!" Mom said. "Naw, he wasn't a piglet. He picked 'em all, so therefore he ate 'em all, " I reassured them. Poor Peter. Gordie strolled out of the kitchen. I guess he didn't like my supreme knowledge on nursery rhymes. "Well, how'd he get pickled peppers? There's no such thing!" Mom stated. "He planted a seed from a pickled pepper and grew pickled peppers." "Yeah right." "He planted peppers and vinegar together." "How do you plant vinegar??" "I dunno." "Maybe if you plant cucumbers and peppers together..." "No! He planted peppers and watered them with vinegar!" "But how do you grow vinegar? What's vinegar made out of? I know we've figured this out before..." "I don't know, but that's how he did it!" "I think you're full of beans...or pickled peppers!" She's right on that one!

That sounds like a conversation I had with Emilie...
Don't let her fool you about her blog. She really does sing "The green grass grows all around". It's second only to "There's a hole in the bottom of the sea" or "B is for Bubbles". :)

OK, you caught me...
I'm a Barney song addict! I've tried to get help. Nothing helps. But you're my friend and I know you'll still love me, even when I burst into song! After all...
"I love you,
You love me,
We're a happy family...

B is for Bubbles, B is for Bubbles, B is for bubbles and bubblegum, and B is for brother who brought me some, oh B is for bubbles.
It's kind of the YMCA version of C is for Cookie. My arm is feeling much better now, Praise the Lord!
