Spangles are much like plain granny squares but they have decorative edges. These can be used as potholders or mug trivets, or the edges can be sewn together to make a lovely placemat or pillowcase. Spangles: $2 for two (includes S&H)

For years, I took great joy in crocheting my family warm scarves for when the winter winds shuddered around our cozy house. They are long, sturdy and durable, with simple fringe at both ends. They are approx. five feet long, with a width of about six inches. Children's scarves are also avaliable, three feet by six inches. Scarves can be crocheted in either  primary color/s (below) or pastel (last picture). Warm Scarves: $8, including S&H
