Introducing The Terrific Trio:

Miss Emily, 10 1/2 years old, 4th Grade

Miss Em is the artist and animal lover in our family. She is a true tomboy and doesnt mind getting or being dirty. You will find her hanging out with the chickens or her nose in her sketchbook, pencil in hand sketching whatever is on her mind. She doesn't mind school, but detests math. She thrives cause we can taylor her learing to help with her ADHD stuff. She is awesome kid who wants to have her own animal rescue facility when she is grown up, so she can take care of God's creation!

Mr. Tyler, 8 years old, 2nd Grade

Mr. Tyler is a wonderful young man who is obsessed with Chess, Transformers and science-fiction things (much like his mom!) He is a tenderheart and sensitive to people. Tyler has Tourette's Plus syndrome, meaning he has tics with a side dish of other things like OCD, anxiety and ADHD. But despite all that he takes it in stride knowing God made him that way for a reason. Tyler loves God and thinks about being a missionary someday.

Miss Claire, 6 years old, 1st Grade

Miss Claire is the girl I never was, she is a doll loving, tiarra wearing, foo-foo dressing darling. She is a chatter box and a social butterfly. She is also a mama's girl and loves to hang with me in the kitchen and help with cleaning. She loves being homeschooled because she says "mom is fun!" Claire would like to be married and become a mommy when she grows up with like a gazillion kids.

Jan. 8, 2009 - JUMPING JAX !!

We had a wonderful treat today and this is going to be considered a "blessing" too! A dear friend of mine treated the kids and I to a visit to Jumping Jax, a bounce arena. It is a big warehouse that has been renovated into a jumping land for kids! On the first Thursday of each month homeschoolers get in for 1/2 price! I can see this becoming a monthly event for the T.L.C. Gang! Here are some pics from the day.

Towards the end of the playtime...gettin' tired and Claire lost 3 of her 5 "hair pretties."

Tyler loved this part....climbing!

What a blast this was today. The kids left totally exhausted! We stopped at Krispy Kreme Donuts for a yummy snack afterwards (which are like the best donuts in the world!) What a fun and blessed day we spent with good friends!

Oh what fun! I wish there was one of those near me. I have been on a desperate search for some fun "outside the home" activities for my kids. I just started home schooling my 7 year old son this year.

We live in a rural area in the state of Michigan. I am married to Tom and we have 3 kids: Emily, Tyler and Claire.
