“As the body without the spirit is dead so faith without deeds is dead.”
~James 2:26
This is a very familiar passage to most Christians, and is one that must be observed. I believe that the church has fallen asleep and looks just like the world. This verse is just calling out to us, begging us to proclaim the word of the LORD to the people! A survey was conducted recently and these were the results: abortion rates among Christians and non-Christians were the same, divorce rates among Christians and non-Christians were the same, teenage pregnancies among Christians and non-Christians were the same. It is such a tragedy that most Christians are no longer distinguishable from non-Christians. We are told in the Bible:
“Whatever happens, conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.”
~Philippians 1:27
If our divorce rates, our abortion rates, and our teen-pregnancy rates are the same as the world’s, and if we aren’t living any differently from the lost, we are not conducting ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ!
“You, my brothers were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.”
~Galatians 5:13
We have indulged the sinful nature for too long; we have succeeded in blending in with an immoral, ungodly, murderous culture for too long; and now, because of our participation in sin, the world is disintegrating beneath our feet. The only hope we have, the only hope we’ve ever had, is GOD. He is our comfort and our joy, our deliverer. And even though we live in a crooked and depraved generation, He tells us in His word:
“Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save nor His ear too dull to hear.”
~Isaiah 59:1
He is our Father, and our hope, and He will not abandon us even though we may have neglected Him.
“Go, and sin no more.”
~John 8:11b
“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
~Matthew 28:20 |

I really am enjoying your posts. I think you are very, very wise. This is something I have never thought about (though I am happy to say I do not fit in with the rank of any of those stats yet, and hopefully never). How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? Younger than your sister, I'm sure. *is awed and grins*
Yep. I spent 15 and put the rest away for something more important. TP is going alright. I'm going to try and finish up the 9th chapter by Wed, though I'm not sure if that will happen. I have too many other things to do, like this! lol
You may have just started blogging, but I think you are off to an amazing start! I hope you are finding HSB to your liking!!!
God Bless,
~Anna
