Let's Dare to Change the World

Feb. 21, 2008 - I-540 by The Wedding

here are the lyrics  to my new song.

We got a lot to learn but we’re a whole lot farther a long than where we’ve been before.
And we’re all put together by the hands of God.
But it was you, the piece He used, to keep me from falling apart.
And the truth of it is that we are still just kids.
But we’ll tear the world wide open.
I drove all night; the darkness could not keep me all alone.
You’re sleeping tight but the morning sun and the streets say I’m almost home.
And the truth of it is that we are still just kids.
But we’ll tear the world wide open.
And the truth of it is that we are still just kids.
But we’ll tear the world wide open.
We keep moving forward till we’ve gone too far.
But we left our hearts way back in Arkansas.
And on the phone saying what, oh what is wrong baby.
Oh what, oh what is wrong baby oh yeah
I'm officially depressed.  It's supposed to snow wicked bad tomorrow, and Lauren's dad made the call that if it's snowing really bad tomorrow night, she can't come.  Which means that Archie can't come.  Which means that if ANYONE makes it tomorrow, I'm going to have to try really really really hard to not cry.  I'm not saying that I couldn't have fun with the people who are supposed to come. Don't get that from me. But I mean...Yes, I saw Archie in January.  For not very long.  We hardly get to hang out, and usually my birthday party weekend is "Hannah And Alex Weekend".  Now it's just...a weekend.  I mean...who's going to be allowed to come if it snows?  How about...no one?

No, I'm not feeling very optimistic. :(

Feb. 17, 2008 - If you go, then go the distance.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA. I'm sorry. I thought this was hilarious.

Anyway.  Went to youth group.  Sam got a guitar, and I tried playing it. I stank.  Tyler came, which was rad.  We were talking about him last week, so it was kinda freaky seeing him walk through the door.  But you know.

My tooth hurts. Mleah.

hehe. Paincakes. XD

Feb. 15, 2008 - Day One of Age 17 - Already being picked up to go on co-ed outings!

Just kidding. Kind of.  I've never been picked up by a friend and her [ex?]boyfriend and gone to the movies with them. ha.

But really.  I get a phone call from Kiaya, and she's like, "Hey, can you come to your door?" I'm like.."Uh...okay. Why?"
"Just come out."  I hear her whisper "HIDE!" My mind automatically goes into panic mode.  I walk into the hall, and I see she's laughing. I keep talking to her over the phone, and I'm like, "What's going on? I heard you say 'hide'. I'm not coming out there"  She starts cracking up.  I'm like, "I see you laughing" making her laugh even harder.  I stand a couple feet away from the door, turn the knob, and push it open.  She catches it, and when nothing happens, I get out of "ready to lunge away" mode and just look confused.  She then says, "This is Tristan". I'm like, oh ok. haha. I remembered that she had said they were getting together today.  We talk in the doorway for a little bit, I learn that he loves the Beatles and that Ringo is his favortie, he loves David Bowie and is wearing a shirt from his clothing line (I ask, "Since when does David Bowie have a clothing line?"  And Tristan answers with the exact length of time.  Which is a bit over 3 months. He was more exact than that, however. haha)

My mom comes to the hall and asks them to come in, they do,  and we chat for a little bit longer.  Then it's suggested somehow that we go to a movie.  I think we were talking about movies. ha. Ironic. Not. XD  We decide on The Bucket List, and which theatre to go to, and I go find out what time it's playing.  What luck, it was playing at 7 pm. It was 6 pm.  Kiaya makes a deal with me that if I buy Tristan's ticket, she'll buy me some Starbucks.  How could I turn that down? haha. jk.

So we go on our way, just laughing and whatever.  I get my drink, we navigate to Chunky's, get our tickets and we each try to play that stupid claw game.  You know, where you try and grab a toy with a cursed claw that never lets you win?  Then we went into the theatre and waited.  Movie begins, and geez, it was in too much wide-screen, so DURING the movie, they fix it. So it's totally unfocused (like, nothing is legible) and then it's blurry, and then it's clear.  About a minute.

And the movie goes on.  I agree with Kiaya.  It gets about one thumb.  Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman do a really good job.  There's some stuff I didn't care for, but of course, most of it came from Nicholson.  But the ending was totally sweet. Kiaya and I were both in tears.  Then we headed out of there.  Kiaya had to get home.

But it was really fun, and it was nice to finally get to meet Tristan and hang out with Kiaya.

Feb. 14, 2008 - Redemption is waiting at your doorstep

So. I'm 17 years old today.  Actually, it's official in about 40 minutes or so.

Was at AGAPE most of the day, but I was greeted by Kiaya and Emily T screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH!!! and tackling me in a hug.  Abi gave me a cupcake, and um...I don't remember much else. I only got 4 and a half hours of sleep last night, okay?

I straightened my hair last night (11 pm. Foolish, but worth it.)  People seemed to like it a lot.  Mrs. MacG like..demanded that I do it everyday - NO WAY.  Not taking 2 and a half hours to straighten my hair, yo.

Went out for Chinese food with my parents which was really nice, and I opened my gifts which were splendiferous.  Came home and am chilling.  I'm so tired. =p  Talked with Archie for a nice long time. Fun. ha.

Oy. So yeah.  I'm tired. GOOD TIMES ARE COMING.

Feb. 12, 2008 - "I like seeing his pretty face..." *insert high-five with Kiaya here*

Oh man.  Today was so long.  But it went really well, and my birthday is in 2 days.  Almost one day.  I had a lot of fun being all chummy with fellows this afternoon.  I don't tend to be incredibly chummy with guys, but for some reason it was really easy to do today. =p

My lines went pretty well, and mom was pleased with my performance, so. I'm good. My nose is really drippy though. Arrg.  Chatted with Kiaya for most of the first hour there, which was fun (of course), went to the store, shared a candy bar with Emily dearest, had some Cup o' Soup, etc etc.  Uhhgggg I'm really tired. =p

Well. Whatever. I'm done.

Feb. 9, 2008 - Shpants!

Oy. I am so tired...and it's only 8:18! Not right, I tell you.

Well, the day went pretty well, all things considered.  Got up nice and early, showered, washed my hair, got dressed, and had breakfast. Toast with jam. Yum.  Mom got ready, and we did tire stuff and medicine stuff for my dad, and then we went to the post office to MAIL MY COLLEGE APPLICATION!!!! Yes, we did. Well, I did.

Then we went looking for jeans which made the day kind of crummy, but I did get some nice khakis and totally cute PJ pants.  They're very valentiney.  They're red with hearts and clouds on them, and the two characters from the cartoon "Mutts" on them.  They say "Imagine Love" all over.  Don't get it, but whatever.  They're REALLLY comfy. I could wear them forever.  And since my birthday is on the day of Love, I can wear them all year long!

We came home and I found a box addressed to me from my aunt (and Kate).  I opened it. Yay.  I called her, thanked her, etc.  We then left to go to BJs and after BJs we went to this local place called "Taco Lupitas".  the food was slightly cool, but overall it was really yummy. Mexican food. Hee.

Then we came home. For good. And I'm tired. And I need to work in my room.  Arrrg.

SOOOO....so long. Good night. Be happy.

Feb. 7, 2008 - 7 days and counting.

I'll be 17 in a week.  Exciting stuff.  Today was stupid, partially my fault, partially others faults..Well, what can you do?

I got my shirt in the mail, today!  It was shipped in a plastic ziploc bag which is totally bizarre, but whatever.  It rocks.  My mom likes it more now. I'm going to save it and wear it on Valentine's Day/My Birthday.  Don't know if I'll wash it first so it can shrink (it's bigger than the shirt I have now, even though it' the same size in the literal sense.  Mom said the other shirk probably shrunk in the wash, so this one probably will too. That's cool.)

But I mean...Long Live Love...Valentine's Day...you know.

I made a new MySpace. I like it. :)

Blehhhhhhhh.  ha. Updation, yo.

Feb. 3, 2008 - Is your name a palindrome?

So.  Went to see Fort Pastor tonight.  Basically amazing.  Laughed really hard.  My favorite part was the end.
Okay.  So we get there, right?  I don't see my people, so I just sit in the back while the first band was playing (they stunk).  My mom comes in, etc, I see Kiaya and Zeke, I go over to them, we hug, go back to my parents, Jim Trick comes, he blows me a kiss cuz he's weird, I go ask Roger if it' ok for me to take pictures, Kiaya disappears, Fort Pastor comes out, and by the time they began their first song, we (Mr. Gable, Myself, Kiaya and Zeke) we nicely situated in the front row, just like last year.

The show goes on, stories are shares, pictures and video are taken, and well...it was overall fantastic.

At the END, though...the end of the show was my highlight.  Kiaya and I kind of waited for a little bit for our turn to greet the guys or whatever (as we were waiting, Jeff saw us and said, "Hey, I remember you from last year!), we notice my parents, and I see my dad talking with Jono.  I figure he remembers him from their ride on the ski-lift at SoulFest.  Soon, my dad calls me over and I am re-introduced to Jono, who, after a small memory jog (me doing their merch), remembered me quite well. :)  Chatting passes, Kiaya, Zeke and I get a picture together, and soon Brant Christopher is free. I turn toward him and he's like, "Hey, Hannah! How's it going?" And he gave me a hug.  He proceeded to hug us all, and we again chatted some more.  We got a group photo....

I also got pictures with each member because...I...do that sort of thing. xD Um.  But yeah.  So, after the pictures and stuff, I went and checked out the merch.  The shirts were kind of expensive, so I asked the lady doing the table if there was a special half-off discount for people who have a birthday on Valentine's Day.  She then directed me to the manager, who directed to the band.  I asked Brant, and he said sure. I gave him a hug, and got a t-shirt for 10 dollars. Yay =D  Mmm...talked with Jim Trick for a little bit (I'm hoping he'll be my link to Kevin Max in the future...).  He might also give me a job, but I don't know.

OK.  So, my happy moments are winding down.  I had the band re-sign my shirt that I got last year, but had them put the year on it.  I got special messages this time, since we're like, biffles (or according to Zeke, we're family).  Well ok, I only got one special message, but you know.  Jono (hee) wrote "Yay 4 Hannah" on it.  AND THEN HA.  As he was walking away, he turned around and was like, "Hey, Hannah," and threw me his sharpie. Hee.  I have Jono's blue sharpie. Ha. So happy. I wrote on Kiaya's jeans with it. She said that it hurt our friendship (because I wrote on her knee, and she was freaking out from being ticklish).

Um. So yeah. Kiaya got a picture with Jim Trick (I did too.  He said he was only going to do it if I put it on MySpace and wrote in the caption that he's awesome.  Which I did.)  And I got a picture with Josh Sturgeon, who's a musician from Boston areaish.  He was nice.  It was funny, because he added me on MySpace a while ago, and I didn't really listen to him or anything, but it was neat that he was there. xD

=D

Ok. So, basically...the night was amazing, and it's a bummer that Abi and Jim didn't get to come, because it was fantaaaastic. :)  Ok. My head hurts. I'm going to bed. Bye.

Jan. 31, 2008 - The voice still resonates.

Pshooooo.  Long day.  Half good, half bad day.  Practiced with the angel, pretending to be Ben pretending to be Alexander, which was kinda fun.

Hung out with Abi, Anders, and other various people throughout the afternoon.  Sat with Kiaya and Abi for a little bit, and learned that I rocked Kiaya's wings, which made me feel bad because Kiaya looked sad.  Had more interaction with Philip in one day than I have I think all year, and...mmm...drove Emily home. Kind of. xD

I bought a shirt.  It hasn't arrived yet, but I bought it ntl.  ME ME ME. Just kidding.  But I do hate the word 'I'.  It makes me feel selfish.  This is my blog, though.

Anyway, it looks like this:

Like, that's the image on it.

Um.  But overall, aside from some uneasiness near the end, it was a pretty good day at AGAPE.  The drive home was cold and tired.  But upon coming home, it was better.  I got a really nice message from someone on Bookie today, and what's weird about it is that I like....knew the person was going to write me before I got their message.  I didn't know what about, but I knew they were going to write.  Don't know why, but it made me feel good after I read it.

I'm watching Superman Returns.  I don't like Lois Lane.  She's a brat.  And Superman's too..........much something.  idk.

My cat is eerie.  Have I mentioned this?

K bye.

P.S. MY BIRHTDAY IS IN EXACTLY 2 WEEKS.
