Spring Time Fun

Now that Spring in officially here, we are having all sorts of fun around our house.  My son has planted his very own garden (sunflower seeds and corn) and is doing all the work himself.

This is his very own garden spot.

Plus, it is also time to wade in the local spring and try to catch fish with your bare hands!

My daughter is having her share of fun times playing with the goats.

To find out what others are doing in their Show and Tells, visit our host Mary.   Plus, I have noticed that I have been "online" for about three weeks now. Does anyone know how to change my status so that I am actually offline?  I have tried logging out, but it hasn't worked.

Hi! Heading out the door to ride. Yes, you can ask Stef how to get the book. She told me Christian Book Distributors CBD had the best prices, she thought. But she will know how to find them. I need more info. on that, I guess. LOL! I tell folks ...now how to get them. BIG detail.

Stef has a HSBlogger Blog and she seems to ans. it often from my experience. Very nice, if you haven't 'met' her yet.

Yee haw...

We have a sunflower patch too, but the poor thing doesn't stand a chance between the cat, dog, and raccoons! The cat thinks it's a litter box, the dog stampedes through it while we are yelling at him not to, and I find raccoon tracks in it in the mornings. Obviously, we don't have a fence up. LOL Tell your ds we look forward to seeing his patch grow via pics.
The goats are just too cute. Does your dd help care for them a good bit of time?

Hi again, I think I posted a comment/answer earlier today but I was rushing and not sure it 'stuck'. Anyhow, I had to copy/paste what Stef Reed sent to me in 1/2 as the whole thing was too big for my blog. Today I copied/pasted the other half below the 1st half I posted so it has more info. on ordering her book. Here is her e mail, if you'd like it too:
Stephanie Reed sreed22@columbus.rr.com
The new info. has the publisher and some store names that are carrying the book. Thank you for asking.

I made a garden by shovel when I was in jr. high. I had a great time. I grew pumpkins. Great memories. I'd like to grow sunflowers at our other property but they will have to be survivors as I won't be driving out there to water them daily due to time/gas prices. Apparently the garden spot the other owner left us is a very productive one they neighbors say.

Fishing by hand is quiet a skill. The goats are adorable. I'm sure our daughter would be thrilled with them too.

How's the vegetarian recipe quest?

Marie

Looks like they are enjoying themselves! I wish we didn't have to live in the city. It would be fun to have more land to enjoy.

I left you an award at my blog. The corn is getting pretty big. It is taller than my sunflowers.

Oh, I do love little goats! Do you milk the does?
Springtime in GA--is it hot? I'm hoping the sun shines today. But I shan't bore you with my weather-crises. LOL

I"ve been (in case you didn't notice) SO out of the loop. I've been swamped and the blogging takes a backseat, I'm afraid.

Oh, so what does this mean, "can't log out"? I get mad because I ALWAYS have to log in before I can go on HSB. On Facebook and the Lounge I"m always logged in, so when I click it I go right to my Nook or my home page. Be glad it's easy to get on HSB. I would LOVE to be "remembered" by my Firefox. LOL

Is there a bad problem with being continually logged in? I've written e-mails to the HSB help desk before, and they do get back to you. That's what I suggest you do, if you haven't done it already.

Enjoy the day!

Hi Pam! I think it's great that your son gets his own plot to work. Thanks for praying for my brother. I was really happy to discover that he was saved.

YOu and I seem to be on the same wave length with our S&T posts. [0= I can't wait to see your ds' garden as it grows. Have you read Little Men. It talks about how each child from the home had their own garden and chose what they wanted to plant and watched how it went. I have loved that idea.

Sending you blessings and ((hugs)) my SSiC

Gardening and fishing! Two of my favorite things to do. Do you guys clean, cook, and eat the catfish? We are currently trying to get rid of our two goats. They are both Nigerian dwarfs but they need more room and we don't have proper fencing for a larger pen. Besides, they have eaten the horses tail to where it's not very attractive anymore (really). I hope your son's sunflowers do well. I'm hoping to plant some to attract the Goldfinches. Blessings! Julie

I hope you will post pictures of your son's garden as the seeds begin to sprout and grow. We are learning this year and pictures of what other people are doing are always the most fun.

It looks like you guys are thorougly enjoying the great spring weather. Your pictures are so refreshing.
Is being logged on a cookie problem? I had a similar problem and when I cleaned up my cookies, it did solve my problem. It's worth a try...

"Help! I'm online and I can't get off!!" At first I wondered if this was said in fun. Then I guessed not. ha.
What did he catch with his hands? Do you need to get him a net, or is it more fun that way? Cute daughter with cute goats.
