where has the time gone by?

i haven't blogged here in a while, forgive me...you can always run over and peek at my Xanga, although it isn't much different
my Mom is living here now, and she needs some care...and while i hope i have been gracious TO her, i haven't been very gracious in my heart about it all it's so hard to do these "nursing" type things, especially while i'm gagging (see the G.A.G post on Xanga) and i'm functioning on broken sleep. And my young boys aren't taking it well either (like when the social services are here and they decide to throw Legos at each other) because Mommy is spending way too much time doing other things andthen being too tired for them
i was about bursting this day until the social worker was here asking my Mom questions and she said she was glad she could be around people who love her and she loves...then all my selfish rantings came crashing down around my heart. SHE is t he one who will not be here much longer. I need to suck it up and get a grip
so if you don't see me around here too much, send up a prayer for us if you think about us. we appreciate it

Oh Pokey, I'm praying for you, your mom and your whole family every day. It has to be so hard. My Dad is going to be 73 in a few days and my mom just turned 68, so things like you are going through loom in my future. I think you are handling things just fine. You are human. You are a blessing to your mom and your boys will grow up knowing how much you cared for your mom while she was there. No, it's not fun for them now, but they will look back on it and see the sacrifices you made to care for your mom and love her.

It is hard to accept the short life we all have. You have a generousity in your heart for your mom and you just needed time to adjust to your new role in her life. It is hard for you and the kids but you mom is secure and needs the love you can give to her at this time. My prayers are with you.
