yes, after MUCH deliberations in my head and heart, i decided to start a homeschool blog elsewhere

i LOVE HSB, all  the blog friends i have here and the great community here. But my sad computer cannot take all the continual changes that HSB does (i know that it's for our saftey...i have no complaint about that) and there's no new computer in my future, so i have to get on with what i need to do. i'll be copying a few posts for posting over there, and copying some for my own sake.

we did NOT go to the Indian Museum today...it's just too STINKIN' COLD out

i did set up another blog though  no, really, it's just for a friend of mine and myself to do an online bible study...she asked me about it and i thought a joint blog would be a good way, with a weekend phone call...she doesn't blog though, so she's a tad confused (is this just my evil way of getting her to blog??? )

i think we will go through "A Woman of Freedom" by Cynthia Heald because i happened to have two copies of it, bith unused...now really, how many of us have unused study guides laying around??? seemed to be a "God-incidence" to  me

so, that's what we did today....the boys??? ummm, they....ummm, Young B is jogging around the living room, and Young J is besting his old score on Spyro  there will be plenty of time for math tomorrow

WOW! who'da thunk it??? and after that tirade against TOS, i STILL made the Front Porch

So, I had to wrack my brain yesterday (after asking Kris if i could just have ALL the books!) but i picked the "Bless The Lord: Psalm 103" book! Honsetly, there have been many times i thought "gee,  that would have been a nice win" because there have been SO many great sponsers! So many people willing to give away their products and support HSB and TOS! But for ME, winning a BOOK is, well, just perfect "karma"!

Thanks to all who picked me as "Featured Blogger of the Week"...it was a great treat since this weekend was my 23rd wedding anniversary! (yes, i'll post plenty of pictures about that during the week!)

wow, i talk alot!

i have 12 pages of archives, i have been blogging on HSB a year in August (the 26th to be exact) but i was blogging on "Blogger" for about a month before that

so now I can have a contest!!!!

to celebrate a year in the blogging world!

okay...so i just really want to host a contest!

my prize? one bar of the most lucious soap "Buttered Honey" from Laura*s Lathers!

Laura has been a cyber-friend of mine for about...3 or so years now. She makes the best soaps, not to mention body butters,sugar scrubs,  insencse sticks and so forth.

firstly, underHISconstruction is having a coffee mug contest...i spotted it over at eyecorn's blog.... i would SO win this one, because i have the PERFECT mug for me

and of COURSE i got it:

i actually had a set (2) of them, but for some strange reason, which are namely boys living here, one broke...so i treasure this cup/mug not so much because of the picture upon it but the wonderful times we have had making our annual trip up to Woodstock....we started going as a family in 1990, when MrM was still a wee babe. We do actaully GO into Woodstock and bop around the shops, etc...and some you really need to aviod  but all in all it's a fun day...we then go to the town of Olive where there's a great park to play in. Then we usually drive around, this year i'd like to go in the giant kalidescope that's in Phonecia. Then we have dinner at Winchell's Corner Pizza and head back home, where we stop for ice cream in town. It's really a great way to spend our anniversary with our kids. The older set doesn't come anymore (actually BigJ has been there on his own with friends) And i have a sweet picture of all the boys in front of one of the cool sculptures in the middle of Woodstock. There's ALWAYS something cool to see there  And yes, we have seen the big rock in the field of the original concert site, which is now a huge ampitheater, it's premier season started last weekend. Lots of great stuff going on at Bethel Woods

so, anyhow, that's why i should win the contest...but really, i'm already a winner with all the great memories that float in my cup with my organic decaf

anyone know that C&W song...cracks me up!!!

anyhow, i'm off to shower and shave the legs to enter the Flip Flop Contest,,,i have the most EXCELLENT flippies ever! and i recieved them on a really kewl May Day basket from a very wonderful friend...and they are quite clean and meet all t he requirements of the "Flip Flop Manifesto" (which i will post later when i edit in my picture)

i'm just sorry i haven;t had the time to henna tattoo my tootsies...i DEFINATELY would have won then

by now you all know my cousin stinkpot...errrr, i mean James, who actually had BLOGGER BREAKFAST with all MY friends at the convention in Florida!

as a result, he really did get me a few nice things (a CD from Carol Barnier and a SIGNED HSB tshirt) and called me at 10 PM Saturday night to keep me up for 2 hrs past my bedtime to gloat...errr, i mean fill me in on how WONDERFUL all you bloggers are and what great buys on curriculum he got and how very NICE JenIg is and on and on and on...now, i don't doubt his words, but doesn't he know i usually go to bed at NINE???? sheesh.....

my consolation prze...i have a really nice picture of JenIg and my cousin James as the background of my computer...so i can be annoyed...errr, i mean happy for him every time i look at the screen

i did tell him he should die of shame now that he met all of you and he doesn't have a blog

my little guys are spending WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY too much time in front of the TV and I am spending waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy too much time on the computer....

so next week will be media free week around here...at least till Daddy comes home from work!  but even then i'm determined to not turn the computer on...or the swirling vortex know as the "world wide web" will suck me into it's awesome powers once again!

i say sort of because:

-i have to shop tomorrow for all the spiffy cleaning implements i need, so i won't officially start till Monday

-i need to pay for the ink i won off Ebay last night so i can print the SEVENTY SEVEN pages of the "intro packet" that Amy posted today!

-i need a new binder to retain the seventy seven pages (and still to come pages also!)

i already emailed Amy to complain...UMMMMM...i mean compliment her on her efforts thus far  but if you are in the Challenge, or wonder what the heck i'm babbling about today, stop by her blog and see...even if i completely lose my already unstable mind, at least i'll have a clean house!
