About The Hunters
My dear sweet hubby, Ron, and I have been married for 20+ years. We began dating during my freshman year at Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville. He is my college sweetheart. We have ministered together in various ministries during our lives together. We pastored for 10 years in Florida. We moved to TN in 2000 to Co-Pastor with some friends of ours. The Lord has given me a fabulous provider whom I love more than any words I write could ever express. He is now the CEO at our denomination's publishing company, Randall House Publications. I am honored to support him.
Our oldest child is named Michael. He is now officially a teenager, although I don't think I'm old enough to have a teenager. He is a very sweet and considerate young man. He is my thinker and my reader. He absorbs every piece of new information that he comes across. He loves playing soccer, riding his bike, skateboarding, reading, watching the History Channel, the Military Channel, ESPN and any documentary on TV. I am privileged to be his Mother.
Lauren is our youngest child. She is just 15 months behind her brother in age. She is wise beyond her years. She has a sharp-witted tongue (which sometimes has to be tamed), a quick sense of humor and a heart for people and animals. She loves organizing anything and everything. She loves being with her friends, singing, talking on her cell phone and playing soccer. I am blessed to be her Mother.
Just the knowledge that a good book is awaiting one at the end of a long day makes that day happier.

I don't always participate in the Sunday Seven. All that it is is a list of 7 things that fit into various categories. But this week I thought I would list 7 things that I am anxiously awaiting for the future. These are just going to be things on the calendar from now through the Christmas season. Just for organizational sake I will list them in chronological order according to the calendar.
1. Trunk or Treat at our church next Sunday night. It's always fun to see all the trunks decorated. And the kids always have so much fun hanging out with their friends. And we dress Faith up and take her with us. It's always a fun night for our family.
2. Ron and I are going to Maryland in two weeks. It's going to be for a State Meeting. But I get to go along and we are going to do a little sight seeing in Washington DC.
3. I'm very excited about our annual family Thanksgiving trip. We didn't get to go on one last year because we had just bought and moved into our new home. But this year we are back on schedule. We are going to Fall Creek Falls State Park again. I think this is where we are going to go from now on. We really love it there. It is a beautiful place. The hiking trails are wonderful. There are spectacular waterfalls. This year we are renting one of their cabins on the lake. We are planning on doing some fishing too.
4. The Donelson Fellowship annual Christmas Musical production will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday - December 14-16. It's always so much fun and it's always professionally done. We have such great talent in our church.
5. This year we will be going to Pensacola at some point for Christmas. Not sure yet when we are going exactly.
6. We are planning on a big family ski trip with Ron's dad, stepmom and his step-sisters and their families. We are going for just a few days at the New Year. None of us have been skiing before. So, it should be interesting, to say the least.
7. And at some point over the kid's Christmas break we will also make a trip to Ohio. Not sure when quite yet. But that's the plan. The kids have 3 weeks off for Christmas break. So, we are taking advantage of the freedom to come and go as we please. We aren't used to being tied down to the house every day. We're used to having the freedom to go on trips whenever we want since we have been homeschooling for 5 years.
Today is Sunday - so that means it's time for the Sunday Seven. I have chosen to write about the following:
seven things that made you happy last week
1. It rained and our grass is happy again
2. My neighbor came home from a year in Iraq
3. My MIL is here for a visit
4. My son is making a 100% in Pre-Algebra
5. I got two new CDs at Lifeway - Mandisa's new one and Point of Grace's new one
6. I got two new books to read at Lifeway - one by a new author
7. I made it to church again this morning - sang in the choir and am going back tonight!
Now it's your turn. What seven things made you happy this week?
This is a place where you can finish one week and begin the next by listing seven things you're grateful for -- or by telling of seven meaningful events from the past -- or letting us know of seven upcoming events on your horizon.
Seven Things I am Grateful For:
1. My wonderful husband, Ron, who loves me, takes care of me, provides for me, surprises me and sweeps me off my feet every day.
2. My handsome and brilliant son, Michael.
3. My beautiful and sensitive daughter, Lauren.
4. My sweet and precious Shih-Tzu, Faith.
5. The last 5 amazing years of homeschooling.
6. The opportunities that Michael and Lauren will be having in the next 5 years while back in public school.
7. My Christian upbringing and continued relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ.
