Things That Make Me Smile
Seeing the kids reading their Bibles on their own
Hearing the ocean
Smelling a cake baking
Remembering our wedding day
Singing in the church choir
Shopping for my family
Feeling good
Reading in the tub
A quiet house
Watching a funny movie with the kids
Seeing my kids playing a game together
Ron's little finger dance
Hearing my kids being excited about church
Watching Ron play with Faith (our dog)
Hearing Ron snoring beside me after he has been gone on a long trip
Chatting with special friends
Feeling hot sand under my feet on a beach somewhere
Game night with Brian & Kim and kids
Spending one on one time with Kim
Double Dating With Brian and Kim
A clean house
Sitting on my front porch in my new rockers
Walking on a cool evening with my family
Losing weight
Seeing my kids make a great play on the soccer field
About The Hunters
My dear sweet hubby, Ron, and I have been married for 20+ years. We began dating during my freshman year at Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville. He is my college sweetheart. We have ministered together in various ministries during our lives together. We pastored for 10 years in Florida. We moved to TN in 2000 to Co-Pastor with some friends of ours. The Lord has given me a fabulous provider whom I love more than any words I write could ever express. He is now the CEO at our denomination's publishing company, Randall House Publications. I am honored to support him.
Our oldest child is named Michael. He is now officially a teenager, although I don't think I'm old enough to have a teenager. He is a very sweet and considerate young man. He is my thinker and my reader. He absorbs every piece of new information that he comes across. He loves playing soccer, riding his bike, skateboarding, reading, watching the History Channel, the Military Channel, ESPN and any documentary on TV. I am privileged to be his Mother.
Lauren is our youngest child. She is just 15 months behind her brother in age. She is wise beyond her years. She has a sharp-witted tongue (which sometimes has to be tamed), a quick sense of humor and a heart for people and animals. She loves organizing anything and everything. She loves being with her friends, singing, talking on her cell phone and playing soccer. I am blessed to be her Mother.
Just the knowledge that a good book is awaiting one at the end of a long day makes that day happier.
- Kathleen Norris
President :: Fred Thompson - I'm not sure he has a chance any longer. But I think he would have been the best choice for our country.
Stare :: Take a picture. It lasts longer. - Remember that from when you were a child?
Embrace :: I could use one of those right now - Not having a good day
Movie :: Suspense - I love suspenseful movies.
Everything :: Blah - I'm just blah about everything today.
Profile :: All about me!
Satire :: Sarcasm - If it weren't for sarcasm I wouldn't be funny at all.
Erratic :: Unpredictable - The first thing I thought of was a hurricane - the weather is so erratic that you never know what's going to happen in the next minute.
Costume :: Clown - I wish I was somewhere being entertained by a clown right now - I could use a laugh right now
Filthy :: Rich - Ok, the object of this is to say the first thing that comes to mind. What I'm noticing by participating in this meme is that I talk a lot about money. What's up with that?? I'll have to give that some thought.
Therapist :: Mental Problems - THIS I can relate to. hahahahahaha
Duck :: Duck Goose - Remember that game when you were a kid? I loved it! Everyone sat in a circle. The person who was "it" walked around tapping everyone on the head saying duck duck duck duck until they get to the person they want to chase them. When they tapped their head they said GOOSE and took off running. If they made it back to the chasers original spot and sat down before they were "caught" they won and they other person was then "it". It was fun!!
Slant :: Cursive - Not sure why I thought of cursive for slant. But there you go!!
Artist :: Monet - Again - no idea what made me think of Monet. I couldn't pick out a Monet from a first graders fingerpainting.
Lease :: Car - Have you ever leased a car? Me neither. We talked about it once but realized it really wasn't that smart of a thing to do for us.
Wish :: Star - I'm thinking of that rhyme you say on the first star you see at night. You know the one? Star light star bright. First star I see tonight. I wish I may I wish I might have the wish I wish tonight.
Doormat :: Welcome - What else would a doormat say?
Global :: Outreach - As in missions!
Apartment :: Small - Last year when we lived in an apartment waiting for our house to be finished - it sure was small!!
Toasty :: Fire in the Fireplace - ahhhhhhhhhhh doesn't that sound toasty warm? We had the first fire of the season in our fireplace yesterday. I must say it was very toasty and warm.
Allegations :: Courtroom - That was Ron's word. The first word that came to my mind is "lies" but all allegations are always lies.
Herb :: Rosemary - I thought of rosemary because it is so pretty.
Bacon :: PIG - heehee - Why is it that something so yummy can come from something so nasty?
Neck to neck:: Nascar - A Nascar race is often neck and neck. The race is on our TV right now so that's why I thought of it.
Simon :: American Idol - This one is obvious. And I'm ready for American Idol to start again. I really like that show.
Heels :: Podiatrist - If a woman wears heals eventually she will probably have to see a podiatrist. hahaha
Fundamentals :: Polygamy - I think of the Fundamental Latter Day Saints because I just finished reading Carolyn Jessop's book about living among them.
Middle :: Ben - I thought of my best friend, Kim's, middle son, Ben.
Seasonings :: Hamburgers on the grill - Yummmmm - a well, seasoned burger on the grill. Doesn't that sound good??
