May. 3, 2007 - 4 weeks 1 day left
That is how much school we have left! I am thinking of squeezing it into 3 weeks as we have an opportunity to travel to Dallas to meet up with my sister in law (Happy Birthday by the way)
I can not believe the end is in site. The kids are excited as well. We will take some time off as we have Cub sout day camp, musical day camp and Girl Sout overnight camp all planned during the summer. But I plan on having Ian cover the Grade 2 readers and optional LA workbooks over the summer since he is reading so well. In the fall I will start him in Grade 3 readers. He is devouring books. Claire will continue with math. She hates it but she is getting it and slowly moving towards grade level. I am proud of her efforts. It hasn't been easy but she has persisted, and is earning a 91% currently. Way to go Claire! All the kids will continue spelling throughout the summer as we got a late start on the program we all enjoy. A Reason for Spelling has been a good fit for all of us. Claire has been gettign extra practice at spellingtime.com as well.
So we bid farewell to Core 1, Core 3 and say hello to Core B, Core 2 with Grade 3 readers, and Core 4.
I can't wait to hit that order button and see all those fabulous books arrive on my doorstep.

| Hi Traci! I'm Cindy in GA from SL. Sounds like you're doing great with your cores! Doesn't it feel so good to check off that last box? Are you shaking in your shoes thinking of tackling THREE cores next year? Your kids are so cute; I loved the Cat in the Hat pic. |
