What's For Dinner Wednesday - Banana Boats
Camping Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- chocolate chips
- mini marshmallows
-
Directions
Slice unpeeled banana lengthways. Insert desired filling, chocolate and mini marshmallows are always a a favorite. Wrap in foil and cook over hot coals or on a grill for approx. 10 minutes open up and eat with a spoon. Yum! Yum!
We are planning an upcoming camping trip. We haven't tent camped in several years and so everyone is so excited. This was always a favorite recipe for me when I was growing up and camping with my family or in Girl Scouts. It is so easy and sooooooooo good. If you have a fire pit you could easily do this in the backyard. I found some other really great camping recipes at www.koa.com under the "kidzone" section. Many are ones I remember from my childhood like Hobo Stew...that was always my favorite meal. There were also some other great tips and ideas and a good "checklist" for tent camping.
