This fall, I have been getting stacks of books from the library, not only for Andy but for Noah too.  Usually Noah gets in a story rut, so I have been getting him out of his rut.  Which has been really fun.  And he enjoys it too.

Note to self... think about doing a Dr. Seuss unit next after Mother Goose.  I think Noah would really like that.

We started out the week a little under the weather.  We were all feeling a little sick and a little tired.  Noah started the morning with crying, but was able to cheer up.  We did our tracing of lines and small and big, M,S, and O.  We used the tracing cards.  He is not needing quite as much guidance for tracing although we are still hand over hand.  I do think we will be ready to move on from Mother Goose in a few weeks, although the material uses a lot of Mother Goose... so I am not sure how we would move on to something else.

We read Roller Coaster, She'll Be Coming Around the Mountain, Shiver Me Letters, and Charlie Needs a Cloak.  We sang Pop Goes the Weasel, London Bridge, Bingo, Go in and Out the Window.  We used our tactile letters while singing ______ says ________ song.  He has been holding the pencil without the pencil grip.  He needed to use the backpack today and his talking ws down a lot today.

Today we did school with Andy.  Andy asked, and I thought it was a good idea.  We did our reading lesson and ______ says _______ song.  O,M,S,A.  Noah said "s" several times as well as "M."  We read Angelina's Halloween.  We worked on spelling Noah with alphabet stamps.  I taught Noah a modern version of "Kumbayah."  He loved it.  And we had to sing it over and over while he played the rhythm sticks.  Also My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean, and Old MacDonald with the school book, Pop, Goes the Weasel, Go Tell Aunt Rhody, The Bear Went Over the Mountain, and Kookaburra.  We worked on counting 1-10 with disks and the bank as well as singing and chanting the numbers with clapping.  He went potty and vebalized 58 times!  We read Sally goes to the Beach to calm down once.  We are halfway to meeting our speech goal for NEXT February!

Noah did his interaction goal for 10 minutes.  We are aiming for 4/7 for two consecutive weeks.

10/11

We did school with both boys again today.  He drank 1 oz.  We sang Pop Goes the Weasel, Kumbayah, Lean on Me, and Old McDonald with an activity.  Noah was making up a conversational song.  And we read 2 Halloween books.  We did a Things that are red hunt.  We did our horizontal and vertical tracing.  Today I was able to push Noah a little to clear up his language and he would do it for me.  He went potty.  I worked on the ABLLS assessment.  It is going to take a while for me to finish it up.  We worked on folding a paper and Andy and Noah did their interaction time.  2/2 days.

We had speech therapy and then we played the piano a little.  We sang Old MacDonald.  Noah drank 7 oz. of Pediasure!!!  We read Night Rabbits and sang Kumbayah with rhythm sticks.  We did our horizontal and vertical tracing.  I continued adminstering the ABLLS.  We touched the spoon to his lips with Pediasure one time.  He went potty.  He bumped his head and came to me saying, "Ohhhhhhh."  He did 84 verbalizations.  It was a good day.
