• Dec. 4, 2006 - The whirlwind holidays... so fun!

11/17-12/4

11/17

Today Leslie Dahm had a visit and Noah had speech.

11/20

Today I had a Dr's appt so Noah only had speech and played with Grandma.

11/21

Noah had speech first thing and then we did school with Andy.  Noah did 29 verbalizations.  We worked on tracing, the alphabet song, AaBb, coloring and B pictures.  We sang Jingle Bells and Angels We Have Heard on High.  Then we read Sing a Song of People, and Fall poems.  We mixed up sugar cookies with Grandma and Andy.

11/22

We just spent the day getting ready for Thanksgiving so we didn't have school.

Thanksgiving was pretty fun, but Noah had a meltdown about halfway through dinner.

11/24 Noah spent a lot of time playing with Grandma and Grandpa.

11/25 We went to the mall to shop.  We went to the library.  Later we played Cranium Balloon Lagoon as a family and then Ky from church came over to play.

11/26 church and Sunday School.  Played at park for a couple of hours.

11/27

I love Animals.  O Come All ye Faithful (library book), nursery rhymes puzzle, decorated a paper Christmas tree, ABC song, Very Hungry Caterpillar Game, nice tracing of lines and letters, hand over hand maze, Give Me-- A and B, Did nice pointing in I Love Animals-- pigs, tractor, and single pictures of animals, watched Frosty the Snowman, sat on potty-- wouldn't go, really enjoyed school today, 28 verbalizations.

11/28

Drank 1 oz, made a star picture, tracing lines, cutting and gluing, sang songs, AaBb-- songs and sounds--tracing and writing letters, Andy worked with us.

11/29

We started out by dropping Andy off and going to the mall to shop for some sweaters.  We rode the escalators and went to the coffee shop.  Later Andy worked with us.  Noah traced lines very well.  He needs much less help.  Both boys traced Bb.  Noah said "A" unprompted when i pulled out the tactile letters!  Did alphabet song and sounds song.  Noah said, "Buh" for what B says!  Noah colored a Christmas ornament picture.  Andy did a "What belongs where?" picture.  Noah finished his cutting, gluing and matching picture from yesterday.  We did red and blue treasures sorting.  He's need less corrections on this.  We did season rhymes, Noah recited much of the poem on his own.  We did Sing a Song of People and Little Boy Blue.  When we did Old MacDonald Noah said Pig at the right time, meow meow and a few other fill ins.  35 verbalizations.

11/30

35 verbalizations.  Noah had speech therapy this morning and then we rushed to Childserve to get a speech and OT eval.  We felt very rushed and hurried, but we got it all in.  Some of impressions/ inspirations from the eval were to do Jester horseback riding again, dog therapy, drum lessons, make Noah follow through with activities instead of roaming, pool therapy, keep going different places, floortime play with someone to keep him engaged, make sure everyone is on the same page-- come up with home plans and assign them to people, computer games, work on catching.

Today he really wanted There's a Wocket in my Pocket.  He drank less than 1 ounce.  We did the nursery rhyme song puzzle, fall poem, Old MacDonald which Noah asked for specifically.  Andy worked with us today.  He did a "B" sound paper and worked on writing "Bb."  Noah traced lines and Bb.  We did the alphabet song and the alphabet poem.  Noah colored a picture.  We did Little Boy Blue again and Jingle Bells with a book and bells.  Noah did a maze (with lots of help!).

12/4

1 sip.  Horizontal tracing.  Drawing lines and circles.  Tracing diagonal lines.  AaBb sounds and tactile cards.  Alphabet song.  B writing.  Coloring holiday picture.  Made a stained glass Christmas tree.  Worked on Christmas song for the Christmas play.  Requested Old MacDonald and sang parts with me.  30 verbalizations.
