Getting Started
| I have not blogged in a long time. In fact, it has been soooo long that I had to completely start a new blog altogehter. So, I am just getting started....I am a homeschool mom of 2 boys. We've been homeschooling for 7 years and have been a stay-home mom for the last 12 years. I absolutely love to write and enjoy getting to put my thoughts on paper (or on a blog in this case). I have such a desire to encourage other moms in their homeschool journey. Our homeschooling experience has not been picture perfect. We have had ups and downs, good times and bad. I hope that through my experiences I can encourage other moms to keep up the good fight.
One of my favorite scriptures is Matthew 11:28. The Message versions says it like this..."Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me...watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or illfitting on you. Keep company with me and you will learn to live freely and lightly."
The NIV says "Come to me and I will give you rest." If you are a tired mom today, go to the Lord. Spend a little time in His presence. He will refresh you and you just might find the rest that you need.
