So much has happened
I never seem to write anymore. I need to make journaling a daily habit.
I have started low carbing again and have lost nearly 12lbs in the past week!!! Yay!!! I was so bloated from all the bread I was eating. Darn bread machine! I gave it back to MIL. If the family wants bread, we'll either buy it or I'll make it from scratch. I want them to only eat whole grain anyway.
We have made a commitment to no longer buy junky food. The kids have been eating too much junk. Shaylee is so big (28 months and she's 40lbs) and although she usually eats healthy things, she prefers junk. Ethan needs to eat healthier things as he doesn't have room for good food. So starting last week, we haven't bought any junk. It may be more expensive to buy healthy food, but it's worth it for our health.
Ethan is zipping through Math U See. If we were to fo it every day, he would be done it in no time so I'm trying to pace him. I have other things I want to start but I think I will wait until after the New Year to try a routine. I hate to have a strict schedule, but I think having a pattern to what we do would work.
We have our tree up and decorated. I am about 90% ready for Christmas. I am making dad a rag quilt and I'd like to make one for MIL too. I have a couple of gifts left to buy and some treats to make but not as much as I usually have to do at this point. I am also making digital scrapbooks I will print up for the families. What we are doing for Christmas is largely undecided but we do want to have it home. We may visit the grandparents at some point during the day but we're not sure.
Our Christmas Concert at church was cancelled last night due to a bad storm we had. Hopefully it will be rescheduled.
Isn't that something. I can't remember everything I wanted to write. There's lot going on that don't really amount to much in the grand scheme of things, but that's life.
I'll be back! I better back up my blog as there will be maintenance done this weekend. Ta!!

It's official...
...I'm not popular :(. I got turned down by Blogative as my blog is not poular enough. I know how to give it more exposure and how to get more traffic but being a private person, I'm not sure I want to do that with this one. Maybe I should start another blog somewhere and really get it going and keep this for my innermost feelings and our daily lives. I signed up for another pay to blog site, PayPerPost, but I'm not holding out much hope for that now.
Last night DH came home and I was still upset so he made supper. Never again!! He ruined my cast iron pan, he had several burners turned on but was only using one, he had the house filled with black smoke for over an hour and I basically had to stand under the smoke detector with a fan going full force, which wasn't fully effective at keeping it from going off. After about 20 minutes of this mayhem I told him he's never cooking again. I can't believe this is the guy who went to school for a year to become a cook. It took him an hour to make a simple dinner that would of taken me 15 minutes, prep included. Plus it was burnt, the rice was under cooked and it just wasn't that good.
Well, our home teachers are coming again today. It better be a more posivite experience. I will stand up for us because I'm tired of people making us feel bad for our lives.
DH has the day off so we'll probably get our shopping done. I have to try to be careful with what we buy to make sure we have enough for rent this week. I hate being poor.
Anyway, I'll be back, I'm sure :)
