So much has happened
I never seem to write anymore. I need to make journaling a daily habit.
I have started low carbing again and have lost nearly 12lbs in the past week!!! Yay!!! I was so bloated from all the bread I was eating. Darn bread machine! I gave it back to MIL. If the family wants bread, we'll either buy it or I'll make it from scratch. I want them to only eat whole grain anyway.
We have made a commitment to no longer buy junky food. The kids have been eating too much junk. Shaylee is so big (28 months and she's 40lbs) and although she usually eats healthy things, she prefers junk. Ethan needs to eat healthier things as he doesn't have room for good food. So starting last week, we haven't bought any junk. It may be more expensive to buy healthy food, but it's worth it for our health.
Ethan is zipping through Math U See. If we were to fo it every day, he would be done it in no time so I'm trying to pace him. I have other things I want to start but I think I will wait until after the New Year to try a routine. I hate to have a strict schedule, but I think having a pattern to what we do would work.
We have our tree up and decorated. I am about 90% ready for Christmas. I am making dad a rag quilt and I'd like to make one for MIL too. I have a couple of gifts left to buy and some treats to make but not as much as I usually have to do at this point. I am also making digital scrapbooks I will print up for the families. What we are doing for Christmas is largely undecided but we do want to have it home. We may visit the grandparents at some point during the day but we're not sure.
Our Christmas Concert at church was cancelled last night due to a bad storm we had. Hopefully it will be rescheduled.
Isn't that something. I can't remember everything I wanted to write. There's lot going on that don't really amount to much in the grand scheme of things, but that's life.
I'll be back! I better back up my blog as there will be maintenance done this weekend. Ta!!
