Tuesday, May 16, 2006 Pray for you pastor - Day 30
Ask God to provide for the financial needs of your pastor and his family. Pray that he will be a wise steward of both personal finances and church funds. (Phil. 4:19; Heb. 13:5; 1Tim. 6:17-19; Ps. 37:25)
My thoughts: God is good. He knows what we need, when we need it. Then He gives us more than we deserve. |

Monday, May 15, 2006 Pray for your pastor - Day 29
Pray that your pastor will be a man of faith and have a passionate love for God, not giving in to worries, fears, or an uptight and anxious spirit. (1John 4:18; Prov. 3:5-6)
My thoughts: A good lesson for everyone, not just the pastor!! |

Wednesday, May 10, 2006 Pray for your pastor - Day 28
Pray that your pastor will strive for personal excellence and will believe God for all HE wants to do in the congregation. (2Pet. 1:3; Col. 3:23-24)
My thoughts: It would be good to pray for the pastor to remember he is really serving the Lord, through his service to the people. Pray that he doesn't get bogged down with petty demands from people. |

Tuesday, May 9, 2006 Pray for your pastor - Day 27
Pray that your pastor will earnestly seek God's will and be committed to instant and complete obedience--ready for God to work powerfully in and through his ministry. (2Cor. 10:3-5; Luke 9:23-24)
My thoughts: "Take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ", I like that. Sometimes we think mean thoughts even though we don't speak them. That's one of my own personal problems. I don't know if our pastor has this problem...but I'll pray for him, too. (grin) |

Monday, May 8, 2006 Pray for you pastor - Day 26
Pray that your pastor will think biblically with the mind of Christ. (1Cor. 2:16; Col. 2:6-8; Eph. 4:17)
My thoughts: Our pastor strives to always think biblically. He defines that as thinking God's thoughts after God, in other words, to think as He would -- not as we think He would, but as biblical evidence shows God would think. As I go through this series, I am realizing we have a really great pastor. It's one thing to like him as a person, to know that he's really kind, honest, caring, etc. It's quite another to measure someone biblically, and realize that they measure up. I know that he's human, and he has faults just like the rest of us (he drives a vw bug, hehe), but he does a good job learning and teaching from those faults. |

Friday, May 5, 2006 Pray for you pastor - Day 25
Pray that your pastor will seek God for personal revival, and revival in your church and community. (2Chr. 7:14; Ps. 69:32)
My thoughts: I will pray also for my pastor's travels, he and his wife are going to Israel tomorrow! I have no doubt he will be inspired by the trip. |

Thursday, May 4, 2006 Pray for your pastor - Day 24
Pray that God will give your pastor a clear, biblical vision of what your church can and should be for His glory, and that he will communicate that vision clearly and confidently to the church. (Prov. 29:18; John 15:16, 17:17; 2Tim. 3:5; Mal. 3:11)
My thoughts: On this National Day of Prayer, let's not forget our pastors and their families.
I pray also that our pastor's plan comes to fruition with the prayer and hard work of all the believers in the body. |
